Midvale Speedway Adjusts Saturday Lineup
Outlaw Figure 8 Event Postponed

Midvale Speedway officials along with management from the AMSC Figure 8 series have decided that it was in best interest to both to postpone the Figure 8 event scheduled for this Saturday, July 26.  Racing will continue at Midvale Speedway with a number of exciting additions to this week's program.

The AMSC Outlaw Figure 8's were scheduled to run for the first time ever at the track and fans were really looking forward to the show.  However, in recent weeks, another Figure 8 series has scheduled an event at Anderson Speedway and the Indianapolis Speedrome also recently added an event all for the same night, diluting the possible field.  Originally, there were no other Figure 8 events scheduled for July 26 when Midvale Speedway put the race on the schedule.  Midvale Speedway will be looking for a possible reschedule date, whether it is this year or next, because it truly is a great event.

To make up for this, Midvale Speedway officials have added a number of events to this week's schedule.  In addition to heats and features for Late Models, Street Stocks, Compacts, and Mini Trucks, each division will also be competing in dash races for the top four and pursuits for the top ten.

For the first time in a few years, Midvale Speedway will also bring the cone back out for restarts in the feature events.  Under caution, drivers will line up single file in the position that they are running.  When the cone is placed on the finish line, each driver has the option to choose the inside or outside lane for the restart.  For example, if the first three drivers go to the inside, the fourth place competitor has a chance to choose the high lane to restart second.

Regular admission prices will apply for this Saturday's events at $12 for adults, $10 for seniors 62+, and $8 for kids 6-15.  Children 5 and under are free.  Pit admission is $25 for members and $30 for non-members.

Pit gates will open Saturday at 2:30, hotlaps and grandstands at 3:00, qualifying at 5:00, and racing action will take the green at 6:30.  The track will also be open for practice on Friday night from 4:00-8:00 with $10 pit admission.
