Hammett, PA (July 17, 2015): The Nelson Lynwood Nursery Street Stocks will be the featured class this week as they will race for $500 to win while Kid's will be feted with Bicycle Give-A-Ways, Face Painting, balloon artists, and clowns for entertainment. The event is sponsored by Phantom Signs, headed by defending Nelson Lynwood Nursery Street Stocks champion Brandon Groters.


The Nelson Lynwood Nursery Street Stocks, long a featured class at Eriez, are currently led in the season standings by Jimmy Kennerknecht, who was a many-time winner in the early 2000's, then left the spot for several years to start a family Jimmy returned to the scene and is back to winning features after a ten-year absence from Victory Lane with a triumph May 24th. Don McGuire is only 15-points back in second with Mark Thompson another 151-markers back in third. Defending champion Brandon Groters has two wins this season but is back in sixth in the standings. Tyler Green has two wins in a row heading into the event. Former champion Chris Withers has one win on the season. All of these drivers will be in the hunt for the extra cash at the end of the event.


He has yet to win a feature this season but Darrell Bossard has amassed a 52-point lead over former champion and opening night winner Chris Hackett in his quest for the Jay's Auto Wrecking Super Late Model championship. Max Blair, a two time winner, currently is third with two-time defending champion Rob Blair fourth. The reigning champion has not yet visited the Winner's Circle this season. Rookie Chad Wright, a former Bonnell Collision Center RUSH Crate Late Model champion, entered the Jay's Auto Wrecking Super Late Model Victory Lane for the first time ever earlier in the season. Former champion Bumpy Hedman got his first win in several seasons last Sunday and Chase Junghans, all the way from Manhattan, KS, also collected a win this season in his first-ever visit.


Defending Bonnell Collision Center RUSH Crate Late Model champion Kyle Zimmerman has one win and a slim 11-point edge over former champion Chad Wright with Matt Latta back in third. Defending class champion Max Blair has three wins this season, including the RUSH Northern Tour visit but is fourth overall. The other feature win this year, a non-points special, was won by Ward Schell.


Joel Watson has two wins in the Plyler Overhead Door E-Mods and leads the standings by a substantial margin over Steve Rex and Steve Simon, two young drivers who each are showing huge improvement this season. Their first-ever feature wins may come any Sunday. Steve Dixon, John Boyd, Dan Davies, and Rich Michael also have wins this season.


Former champions Ryan Scott (four wins) and Chris McGuire (two wins) have dominated the Kandy's Gentlemen's Club Limited Late Model Victory Lane, shutting out all others. Mike Moon currently is third.


With four feature wins young Casey Bowers has a huge lead in his quest to be the first-ever Clinger E-Mod Chassis Economod champion at Eriez Speedway. Dennis Haag is second with Eric Reinwald third. Other winners this season have been Ty Rhoades and Josh Ferry with one each.


Any Proper has a huge lead based on two early season wins in the Ran-Dan Excavating Challengers title chase. Aaron Marcy and Ryan White run second and third. Thomas Cupp, Lindsey Carlson, and Steve Morse all have wins this season.,


Eriez Speedway is located on Sampson Road, just off Lake Pleasant Road in the town of Hammett, PA, 3 miles south of Interstate 90. Take Route 8 South from Interstate 90 Exit 29 and follow the signs starting in Hammett. Admission for all regular events is $12.00 for Adults, $10 for seniors, children 6 - 15 $6, under 6 free. Fan gates open at 4:30 and pit gates open at 3:30 with the first green flag shown at 6:00 PM.
