SPRINGPORT, MI (October 6th) - The racing promotion team of Jeff & Pam Parish are
pleased to announce that they have secured a long term purchase lease with Jim
Leasure and effective October 1st are preparing Springport Motor Speedway's future.

"We gave Springport several serious looks in 2009 and 2010, but our obligations at
Owosso Speedway and Dixie Motor Speedway made acquiring Springport not possible in
that moment" said Jeff Parish. "With my wife and I not exercising our options at
Owosso and Dixie, the timing was perfect to tackle the challenges of Springport
Motor Speedway. The recipe for our success has always been to surround ourselves
with talented hard working people. Springport will be no exception. Our ownership
group coupled with the people already having a passion for the facility will be a
strong team that can achieve great results!"

The Parish Family has a long and successful track record of rebuilding distressed
facilities. Starting with Whittemore Speedway in 2006, where Jeff Parish assumed the
position of Club President and took the track from the verge of insolvency to a
vibrant, growing facility. They repeated that task at Owosso Speedway in 2008,
saving the track from closing. Jeff added "Steve Martin and Tim Phillips have done
an outstanding job with SMS in 2011 and the facility is in much better condition
then either Owosso or Whittemore was when we started."

Parish continued, "Our team has expertise in short track operations - track
management, marketing and public relations, facility maintenance, driver safety &
fire suppression, racing tech and tech management, and hospitality services. The
advantage we will bring for the future is many boots on the ground to promote this
beautiful facility!"

Looking ahead to the future of Springport the Parishes detailed, "We have put
together a great ownership team which is going to significantly impact the
effectiveness of our operational plans and be a positive contribution to the
Springport racing community". "We have a very good relationship with Jim Leasure &
Spartan Speedway and we look forward to a cooperative relationship for the
betterment of both facilities" added Pam Parish, "The team is extremely excited
about the opportunity to work with Spartan Speedway on projects in the future.
Combine that with the positive momentum already present at Springport and enhance it
with the things we learned at Dixie, Owosso and Whittemore, our team is extremely
excited about the limitless possibilities."

Parish went on to emphasis, "It is important to note that this is not a short term
deal, we have a long term vision for Springport, we are going to be here a long
time. This will be the base of our motorsports operations and the action items we
have planned. The community can rest assured that Springport is healthy, stable and
has a long future in front of it."

Mid-Michigan fans can expect to see high quality racing action at Springport. More
high profile races, the return of Sprint Cars, invitationals and select sanctioning
bodies, and the introduction of non-traditional promotions. Plus there will be other
events utilizing the great facility Springport is and the opportunities the
surrounding community offers. We look forward to getting to know the drivers and the
community, and building relationships that will last for years to come.
