Though we aren’t racing, restrictions are being eased and we are now able to offer open practice sessions as well as track rentals. For now, we are sorry to say we are not able to allow fans at practice sessions or to observe at track rentals. We look forward to that changing and hope that it does so soon.

Kalamazoo Speedway is sponsoring a food drive for Christian Neighbors on Friday, May 22. Please see details later in the newsletter.

BRING SOME FOOD AND CRUISE THE ZOO!

Don’t forget the May 22 food drive for Christian Neighbors, a local food pantry, at Kalamazoo Speedway. If you are able, please consider helping out those who are less able. In addition to making a difference in someone’s life, we’re offering a couple of laps around the track in exchange for the assistance.

You will be asked to sign a waiver prior to going out on the track. All vehicle passengers must remain in their vehicle at all times while onsite (donations should not be placed in the trunk of the vehicle). We expect safety first on the track; so thank you for not trying to break any speed records.

WHO: Individuals/families
WHAT: Donate a bag (or as much as you’re able) of non-perishable food & take a couple of laps around the fastest 3/8 mile oval in the world
WHEN: Friday, May 22 (6:00 – 9:00 PM)

Drive past the ticket windows on the main access road until you come to the pit gate and we’ll guide you from there. Because street tires and windshield wipers are standard equipment on all street legal cars in Michigan (correct, no race cars!!) this will be a rain or shine event. Kalamazoo Speedway officials will be wearing gloves and masks when directing vehicles and accepting your generous donations. Thank you.
