I had the pleasure of interviewing #99, Great American Stock Driver Brian Bayer. Brian is from Birdseye, Indiana. He began racing in 1992 at Martin County Speedway, in Loogootie, Indiana in the Bomber Division. Brian has been racing 27 years and moved to Salem Speedway in 2005. He has 25 Feature Wins to his credit. Adding to his resume 15 B Feature wins and 15 Heat wins. Brian Bayer has competed at
Salem, Winchester, Bristol, Kentucky Motor Speedway, and the Nascar track Kentucky Speedway. His bucketlist tracks to try include, Daytona, and Talladega. Brian would like to compete in The CRA Street Stock Series, and the Main Event Racing Series based in Ohio. He would like to see street stock events held at Daytona & Talladega motor Speedway. This driver would like to see the Winchester 200 for Street Stocks be held every year! Brian would also like to see CRA and Salem Speedway unify on tire and chassis rules. In his opinion, The Firecracker 200 Race at Salem Speedway should remain a 200 lapper instead of the new 125 laps it is this year. When the race was 200 laps, it had LIVE pit stops which is exciting for his race team as well as fans. We all hope that the Kimmel Street Stock Racing series returns with a $10,000 to win event at Kentucky Speedway.
