It was sunny Sunday skies June 16th at the Tom Wood Group Indianapolis Speedrome Powered by Lincoln Tech. The headliner was the 19th annual Jake’s 150 Figure 8 for the Brown’s Oil Service Late Models. Polesitter Ben Tunny led the 24-car field to green after his 17.067 second qualifying lap. A pair of intersection interactions brought red flags in the first 20 laps. The first with James Edsall and Mark Tunny. The second with Jeff Swinford and Matt Smith. John Conner Jr would take the lead until circuit #43 when Eddie VanMeter took over. He pushed the advantage while several scrapped for the top five. Austin Tinny emerged and caught EVM. The pair battled to the end with Eddie taking checkers. Jesse Tunny was third followed by Ben Tunny, and Mike Riddle Jr.

The rest of the afternoon action was intense as well. The Last Chance Wrecker Factory Front Wheel Drives had Don VanValkenburg III capture his 6th victory of the year topping Ricky Johnson, Brad Ransdell, Jeremy Tunny, and Carl Drake. The INEX Legends presented by Last Chance Wrecker and A&M Customs saw Mason Hadley drive his car for sale to victory lane over Marty Griffin, Tony Paquette, Andrew Evans, and Mike Thurman. The Sherley Unlimited Snow Company Stocks had “Sharp Dressed Man” Larry Hahn finding glory besting Robert Fox Jr, Lee Schwartz, Kenny McDonough, and Kody Rackley.
