SATURDAY’S PORTION OF “STEEL VALLEY PRO STOCK NATIONALS” POSTPONED TO SEPTEMBER 7 DUE TO PENDING RAIN AT SHARON

Hartford, OH June 15, 2019 After qualifying was completed on Friday night for the Penn-Ohio Pro Stock Championship Series and Econo Mods, Sharon Speedway has made the decision to postpone night two of the “Steel Valley Pro Stock Nationals” to Saturday, September 7 due to the high likelihood of rain later this afternoon and evening on top of already saturated grounds.

Chris Schneider set a new track record in qualifying with a 17.577 to earn $500 from Zimmer’s Service Center against the 62-car field. Dwayne Clay set fast time overall against the 27-car field in the Summit Racing Equipment Econo Mods with a 17.970. The heat race lineups for both classes are set. New cars will be permitted to tag the heat races. The Penn-Ohio Stocks will be racing for $10,000 to-win and the Econo Mods $2,000 on that night.

Coming up on Tuesday (June 18) is Ohio Speedweek for the Ollie’s Bargain Outlet All Star Circuit of Champions Sprint Cars in a $5,000 to-win event along with the RUSH Sprint Cars.
