Hartford, OH May 25, 2019 Despite a high likelihood of storms throughout the afternoon, Sharon Speedway was sparred as race teams and fans arrived on Saturday evening; however, just prior to warm-ups a strong cell developed, which drenched the facility and washed out the show. It was the third time this season rain has hit and rained out the event with race teams filling the pit area.

Grandstand rain checks from Saturday night will be honored for the next two events, while pit passes can be used for the remainder of the season for all $30 events or upgraded for the difference on special events with higher pit pass prices. The 29 HTMA/Precise Racing Products RUSH Sportsman Modified drivers, 21 Gibson Insurance Agency Stock Cars, and 17 Summit Racing Equipment Econo Mods in the three weekly divisions that were signed in will receive 10 show-up points per track procedures with to the pill draw being closed.

Coming up next Saturday (June 1) will see the “410” Sprint Cars return for another $3,000 to-win show part of the Menards “Super Series”. Also on the program will be the RUSH Sprint Cars, RUSH Sportsman Modifieds, Elite Econo Mod Series, and power wheels racing for the kids. Pit gates open at 4 p.m. with grandstands at 5, and racing at 7.
