BROWNSBURG, Ind. (August 29, 2018) – Closing down the month of August and opening the month of September all in the same weekend, the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions presented by Mobil 1 will continue their 2018 campaign with a three-race sweep through the Buckeye State, this time aiming their compasses toward a pair of facilities certainly synonymous with All Star Circuit of Champions competition; Attica Raceway Park and Wayne County Speedway. The Labor Day weekend triple-header will award a total winner’s share equalling $20,000, half of which during Saturday’s visit to ‘Orrville’s Historic Oval.’

Tony Stewart’s All Star Circuit of Champions will kick-off the long, holiday weekend with the Attica Ambush/Dirt Classic Ohio doubleheader at Attica Raceway Raceway on Friday and Saturday, August 31 & September 1. The two-day program will be complete with two, full, All Star events, each awarding a $5,000 payday.

The Attica bullring has hosted the All Stars on three separate occasions thus far in 2018 and has awarded three different winners. Most recently, Nashville’s Paul McMahan earned the All Star triumph at Attica Raceway Park on Friday, June 15, which officially opened the door on the 2018 edition of Ohio Sprint Speedweek.

Wayne County Speedway’s Pete Jacobs Memorial has quickly grown into one of the schedule’s most sought-after prizes. Awarding a $10,000 payday, the event, honoring Wayne County Speedway’s original property owner and founder, Pete Jacobs, will feature some of the best local talent in the great state of Ohio, all racing head-to-head with the best that the All Stars have to offer.

Former All Star full-timer, Caleb Helms, is the defending $10,000 winner at Wayne County Speedway, holding off Tim Shaffer and Cole Duncan at the final checkers. Adding even more glamour to the Pete Jacobs Memorial victory, it was Helms’ first-ever All Star triumph.

Exchanging the top spot on multiple occasions in 2018, Clute, Texas’ Aaron Reutzel will enter the Labor Day swing on top of the All Star Circuit of Champions driver standings. Boasting a point cushion much larger than it has been, Reutzel sits on top of the standings by 42 markers; an effort padded by consistency in the form of 25 top-ten finishes in 34 feature attempts.

Reutzel, who also owns the All Star win column this season with eight victories to date, most recently earned a victory during action at Grandview (Pa.) Speedway on Thursday, August 23. Although not his first All Star win in Pennsylvania, accomplishing victories on the western edge during visits to Sarver, Erie, and Pittsburgh, the victory was his first amongst the Pennsylvania Posse, keeping the defending Thunder Cup winner, Freddie Rahmer, in his rearview mirror.

Carson Macedo and Chad Kemenah will enter the Ohio triple-header currently second and third in the All Star driver championship chase, respectively, followed by Paul McMahan and Dave Blaney. Certainly a competitive group in the hunt for Reutzel’s position, Macedo, Kemenah, McMahan, and Blaney own a combined total of seven All Star victories in 2018, Macedo leading the pack with three.

Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio, will open pit gates at 4 p.m. on Friday, August 31, and 3 p.m. on Saturday, September 1. Continuing the same trend, the All Star Circuit of Champions drivers meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Friday and 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, followed by hot laps at 6 p.m. and 5 p.m., respectively. Those seeking additional news and notes should visit Attica Raceway Park live on the Web at www.atticaracewaypark.com.

Wayne County Speedway in Orrville, Ohio, will open pit gates at 3 p.m. on Sunday, September 2. The mandatory All Star drivers meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by hot laps at 6 p.m. Those seeking more news regarding the $10,000-to-win Pete Jacobs Memorial should visit Wayne County Speedway live on the Web at www.waynecountyspeedway.com.
