Portsmouth Raceway Park welcomed 112 race teams for the 24th annual running of The Fred Dillow Memorial Saturday night

PRP Press Release

Portsmouth Raceway Park welcomed 112 race teams for the 24th annual running of The Fred Dillow Memorial Saturday night.  The car count was PRP’s highest of the season.

On a night that brought a multitude of prize winners, those who prevailed in their respective features included Jackie Boggs in the Late Models, KC Burdette in the Modifieds, Matt Melvin in the Limited Lates, and Zach Pendleton in the Sport Mods.

Besides bringing in the best PRP car count of 2018, the annual Dillow Memorial also boasted a record number of supporters.  This year the Dillow Family worked with 110 sponsors, who donated over $40,000 in cash, prizes, and giveaways that were presented on top of PRP’s regular purse.

The evening featured plenty of giveaways for the fans, and a lot of bonuses for the racers.

Speeds were incredible throughout the night for what has become one of Portsmouth Raceway Park’s most anticipated races of the season.  Seven different Late Model drivers qualified south of  15 seconds.

Martin, KY’s Shannon Thornsberry earned $1,077 for setting fast time in the Bozo’s “Just Give Me One Lap” Late Model Time Trials.

Robbie Lewis won The Sgt. Tim Moore Late Model Dash, and the Conley brothers, Rod and RJ, captured the two DirtonDirt.com Late Model Heat Races.
