There is a country song that says rain is a good thing but if your in the racing world, rain is not a good thing as it claims it’s fifth night of stopping the action at NAPA Jani Auto Parts Wayne County Speedway this season. Only four nights of racing has happened so far this season. Heavy Friday night rains with showers at noon with storms in the early evening forecasted on Saturday night forced promoters Jason and Kristin Flory to cancel the races for the evening.

A big week of action is on tap for ‘Orrville’s Historic Oval’ as the Craftsman World of Outlaws Late Models will start the action off on Saturday, June 16th with a 50 lap, $10,000 to win race with the CorBon Super Stocks and the WQKT 104.5 Mini Stocks will also be competing for regular points.

Coming right back on Monday, June 18th will be the annual Ohio Sprint Speedweek show for the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions and the $5,000 to win Duffy Smith Memorial. This will be Sprint Car only event as this race averages over 50 cars a night.

For regular racers at WCS in the Kar Connection Super Late Models, they will get points for competing against the World of Outlaws on Saturday while the Pine Tree Towing & Recovery Sprint drivers will also get points for racing on Monday with the ASCoC.
