DOWNPOUR FLOODS OUT WAYNE COUNTY SPEEDWAY’S ALL STAR SPRINT SHOW

Severe weather hit Napa Jani Auto Parts Wayne County Speedway at the 7 pm hour and dropped more than two inches of rain in less than a half hour that flooded the grounds of the race track with more than ankle deep water and cancelling the nights races that was to feature the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions Sprints and the CorBon Super Stocks and the WQKT 104.5 Mini Stocks. The ASCoC will return to WCS on Monday, June 18th for the annual Ohio Sprint Speedweek show and the Duffy Smith Memorial.
Next up on the schedule for ‘Orrville’s Historic Oval’ on Saturday, June 2nd will be a Fast Four Racing program that will feature the Kar Connection Super Late Model Attica Raceway Park/Wayne County Speedway Series with the six race series starting the night before at ARP. The Pine Tree Towing & Recovery Sprints will also be in action as the CorBon Super Stocks and the WQKT 104.5 Mini Stocks will be doing double duty as they will make up their features from May 12th and racing a regular program also. The Super Late Models, Super Stocks and the Mini Stocks will also be competing for ‘Summer Series’ points, which is a four race series that awards separate points for those races and will pay the top three drivers in points additional money. Aamco Transmission is the sponsor of the Super Stock ‘Summer Series.’
