SHREVE, Ohio (May 7, 2018) – Although just short of attaining his first top-ten finish of the 2018 season, Shreve, Ohio’s Trevor Baker put on an impressive performance during his visit to Sharon Speedway on Saturday evening, rebounding from a heat race spin to finish 14th with the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions presented by Mobil 1.
Baker, driver of the T-Rev Performance/Baker’s Mobile Home Transport/Exodus Cycle/Coblentz Trucking/H&S Concrete/Mid Ohio Diesel/No. 45 sprint car, earned his way into the 30-lap, $5,000-to-win program by finishing third during the evening’s B-main.
Starting 20th on the feature grid by way of B-main result, Baker practiced patience and gradually improved seven positions during the inaugural “Buckeye Cup,” crossing under the final checkers in the 14th position.
There were 43 All Star Circuit of Champions entered for action at Sharon Speedway.
“I’m pretty proud of what we were able to do at Sharon,” Trevor Baker explained. “We had to dig ourselves out of a hole, but sometimes you have to do that. To rebound like that and make the show against that level of talent is really motivating. Hopefully we can put our momentum and confidence to good use this weekend when we travel to Eldora Speedway.”
Trevor Baker will continue his 2018 campaign with a pair of stops at the legendary Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio, on May 11-12. Joining the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series, Baker will take part in #LetsRaceTwo weekend, battling the best sprint car teams in the world for a pair of $10,000 top prizes.
“Our goal is to qualify well and put ourselves in both shows,” Baker continued regarding the upcoming weekend. “Our overall goal has always been to race as much as we can. Racing with talented fields like the World of Outlaws, and even the All Stars, is only going to make us better as a team, and me better as a driver. I’m excited to get there.”
