MYERSTOWN, Pa. (April 30, 2018) – Gradually bettering his performances as the weekend progressed, the “Myerstown Missile” Brent Marks ended his recent Texas visit with a ninth place performance during the $20,000-to-win, Texas Outlaw Nationals finale at Devil’s Bowl Speedway. Marks, who now owns five top-ten finishes during World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series competition in 2018, earned his top-ten performance on Saturday from the inside of row seven, solidifying his main event starting position by finishing fifth during his respective heat race.

“It was a great way to end our last Texas visit of the season,” Brent Marks explained, driver of the Brent Marks Racing/M&M Painting & Construction/BAPS Auto Paint & Supply/ Eagle Hotel/A. Murray Family Investments/No. 19 sprint car. “I can’t thank my team and all of my supporters enough for their hard work this season. The World of Outlaws schedule is not an easy task. I have a lot of people who believe in me and believe in what my team is trying to accomplish. Every lap we get on the track, we learn from it. We’ll be racing in front of our home fans soon enough. I’m really excited for that.”

Brent Marks, a sophomore traveler with the Greatest Show On Dirt, kicked-off his trio of Texas starts with a visit to Cotton Bowl Speedway on Thursday, April 26. Unfortunately for Marks, a mechanical issue forced the Myerstown, Pa., native to retire early from main event competition; Marks was scored 19th.

During the Texas Outlaw Nationals preliminary at Devil’s Bowl Speedway on Friday, April 27, Marks finished 11th during feature competition, starting the 25-lap main event from the outside of row five.

“All in all, it was a solid weekend at Devil’s Bowl,” Marks continued. “Two top-ten finishes would have been better, but we’ll celebrate this and move on.”

Brent Marks and Brent Marks Racing will continue their 2018 World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series campaign with a pair of stops in Missouri and Oklahoma, first visiting Lake Ozark Speedway in Lake of the Ozarks, Mo., on Friday, May 4. The Greatest Show On Dirt will invade the Salina Highbanks Speedway in Salina, Okla., for the Twister Showdown on Saturday, May 5.
