PEVELY, Mo. (April 23, 2018) – For the second time in 2018, the “Myerstown Missile” Brent Marks earned a KSE Hard Charger Award during World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series competition, this time during action at the Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, Mo., on Saturday, April 21.

Marks, who earned his way into the I-55 Spring Classic feature program by finishing second during the Last Chance Showdown, charged from 22nd to finish tenth during the 40-lapper, raising his World of Outlaws top-ten total to four thus far in 2018.

In actuality, Brent Marks charged to his tenth place finish from the back of the pack, forced to backup an extra three spots after going to the work area before the drop of the green flag.

The driver of the Brent Marks Racing/M&M Painting & Construction/BAPS Auto Paint & Supply/Eagle Hotel/No. 19 nearly earned two KSE Hard Charger Awards during his recent weekend of competition, charging forward from 25th to seventh at Riverside (Ark.) International Speedway before losing a right-rear tire. Marks returned to the speedway, but would only recover to finish 17th.

“What a weekend. It feels really good to say we passed that many cars, but at the same time, it’s tough to keep digging out of holes,” Brent Marks explained, who is a second-year, full-time traveler with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series. “Qualifying plays such a huge role in the World of Outlaws format. Getting behind from the start creates a lot of work. I think once we nail down some consistency within our qualifying effort, we’ll be in great shape. Regardless, I’m proud to be a part of this team. It’s an honor to be out here racing with the World of Outlaws.”

The World of Outlaws were scheduled to be in action at Tri-State Speedway in Haubstadt, Ind., on Sunday, April 22, but the event was shut down just before hot laps due to persistent rain showers.

Continuing his 2018 World of Outlaws campaign, Brent Marks will follow the Greatest Show On Dirt back to the Lone Star State, ready to tackle three events in four days beginning Wednesday, April 25, with a visit to the Cotton Bowl Speedway in Paige, Texas.

Following his trip to Paige, Brent Marks will make his way north and visit the Devil’s Bowl Speedway in Mesquite, Texas, for the Texas Outlaw Nationals on Friday and Saturday, April 27-28; the final Texas appearance for the World of Outlaws in 2018.

Marks will enter the Texas trio 14th in the World of Outlaws standings trailing Rico Abreu by less than 50 markers.
