VINCENTOWN, N.J. (April 16, 2018) – Mother Nature has been a burden for New Jersey native, Justin Whittall, but hopefully she can put her attitude on hold during the upcoming weekend as Whittall prepares to invade Port Royal (Pa.) Speedway for Open Wheel Madness on Saturday, April 21.
Whittall, who recently picked up a podium finish during United Racing Club (URC) competition in North Carolina, will rejoin the 360c.i. sprint car club on Saturday night at the Port Royal “Speed Palace,” working to add another podium run to his list of statistics, more importantly working for a first-ever URC main event victory.
“The weather has caused some headaches lately, but that comes with the territory, especially this time of the year,” Justin Whittall explained, driver of the JW Motorsports/Atlantic Utility Trailer/Brotherton Brewing Company/Pioneer Auto Body/Worldwide Bearings/No. 67 sprint car. “We’re pretty excited to get to Port Royal Speedway. The facility has gone through so many awesome changes over the last few years. I’m excited to get there and see the recent renovations.”
The Open Wheel Madness program at the Juniata County Fairgrounds half-mile will be the first full-point event of the 2018 URC season. Whittall’s Carolina Speedway start, resulting in a third place finish, only accumulated show-up points.
