APOLLO, Pa. (March 23, 2018) – The 2018 season is just around the corner for Apollo, Pennsylvania’s AJ Flick, and before getting the year underway, officially, Flick and AJ Flick Racing are eager to welcome all new and returning partners for 2018.
Fueling Flick’s ambitions, the Western Pennsylvania native, as well as two-time Lernerville Speedway champion, will launch the upcoming season with over two dozen primary, secondary, and product sponsors, three of which joining the third-generation racer for the first time.
Monroeville’s Steel City Indoor Karting; Johnny Carpet of Vandergrift, Pa.; and Erie-based fishing charter, Loco Loco Charters, have each joined AJFR for the first time in 2018. The trio of Western Pennsylvania-based organizations will unite with over 20 of Flick’s returning partners including Ferguson Heating and Air, Fence by Maintenance Service, Chernega Construction, and Champion.
“We are thrilled to have Steel City Indoor Karting, Johnny Carpet, and Loco Loco Charters join our team in 2018,” AJ Flick said. “I’m confident their support, mixed-in with the support from all of our returning partners such as Ferguson Heating and Air, Fence by Maintenance Service, Chernega Construction, Showtime Designs, Champion Spark Plugs, and JD Byrider, will boost our team to a new level. This is a family deal and it has always been a family deal. The relationships we’ve built and continue to promote have allowed our family team to be ready and competitive. We couldn’t be more proud, as well as excited.”
Flick will aim to make regular Friday night appearances at the famed Lernerville Speedway in 2018, as well as routine visits to the Port Royal Speedway “Speed Palace” in Port Royal, Pennsylvania. When not visiting the Juniata County Fairgrounds, Flick will bounce around Western Pennsylvania and the surrounding areas, planning to invade Sharon (Ohio) Speedway and Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway during all of the scheduled sprint car appearances.
“We race as much as we can. That’s the bottom line,” Flick continued. “We’ve learned to be smart with our equipment and race when it is feasible. With my work schedule, Lernerville Speedway really fits well as a Friday night stop for us. We love Port Royal Speedway, so we’ll make as many trips out there as we can on Saturday nights. Regardless, our goal is to race as much as we can and hopefully put ourselves in a position to win as much as we can.”
