Caleb Armstrong ends All Star campaign third in Series driver standings

NEW CASTLE, IN (October 16, 2017) – An accomplished season, nonetheless, New Castle, Indiana’s Caleb Armstrong recently concluded his 2017 Arctic Cat All Star campaign, participating in three main events in two days at two different Ohio venues. The weekend proved satisfactory for the second-year Arctic Cat All Star, finishing 16th, 14th and 20th, respectively, during his combined three starts at Mansfield (OH) Motor Speedway and Eldora (OH) Speedway.

In actuality, the 2017 season was Armstrong’s first, full campaign with the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions. The former Chili Bowl Midget Nationals preliminary feature winner suffered from an injury in 2016 and missed a portion of the schedule.

“It feels good to get this deal under our belts. I think we had a pretty good season. We definitely found some rhythm here and there, but all in all, a great effort by everyone,” Armstrong said. “I can’t thank my family enough for their support, as well as everyone who works on this deal. It can be demanding; a lot of travel mixed in with late nights and early mornings. I’m not too sure of a plan for next season. I think we’ll take a few weeks to kick back and relax. We’ll figure out a plan soon enough.”

Armstrong, pilot of the Armstrong Farms/Neal Metal Recycling/All Star Performance/Baker Crop Insurance/No. 7C, ended his season with 18 top-ten finishes against the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions, wrapping up his championship chase third in the Series driver standings.

Recent Highlights: Finished seventh during Lou Blaney Memorial at Sharon (OH) Speedway on July 8. Finished 10th during Arctic Cat All Star main event at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway on Monday, July 24. Charged from 25th to 15th at Eriez Speedway during I-79 Summer Shootout action. Finished second during Arctic Cat All Star main event at Lebanon Valley (NY) Speedway, as well as seventh during Arctic Cat All Star main event action at Outlaw (NY) Speedway. Finished fourth during Freedom 40 at Atomic Speedway on Saturday, August 5. Scored $15,000 FAST/OSCS victory during Great Lakes Dirt Nationals at Mansfield Motor Speedway. Charged from 12th to sixth during Wayne County Speedway’s Pete Jacobs Memorial on Sunday, September 3. Qualified for Tuscarora 50 main event at Port Royal (PA) Speedway. Finished eighth during Bedford Fairgrounds Speedway visit on Sunday, September 17. Charged from 22nd to ninth during Four Crown Nationals main event at Eldora Speedway on September 23.
