ELDORA’S 64TH SEASON COMES TO A CLOSE SATURDAY

The #LastCallForMethanol Features Three Divisions of Sprint Car Action

ROSSBURG, Ohio (October 13, 2017) – Eldora Speedway’s 64th consecutive season of racing comes to a close Saturday night (October 14th) with a three-division showcase of methanol-injected fury featuring the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions (ASCoC), K & L Ready Mix National Racing Alliance Sprint Invaders (NRA) and a non-sanctioned event for traditional non-wing sprint cars.

The evening activities will use Eldora’s autumn schedule, with Hot Laps at 4:30 p.m. (ET) and racing starting at 6 p.m.  Tickets can be purchased at www.eldoraspeedway.com or by calling (937) 338-3815.  Children (12 and younger) are admitted free to Eldora’s ample general admission seating areas.

While the ASCoC and NRA look similar with the two divisions both sporting the large wings on top and nose wings to maximize downforce, the All Stars are powered by 410 cubic inch engines while the NRA are restricted to 360 cubic inch power plants.  The non-wing sprint cars have no engine or tire rule and their few rules regulate fuel and driver safety.

In addition to being the #LastCallForMethanol, the event also marks the last opportunity this season for fans to enjoy many of Eldora’s staple concession items – always tasty and always economically priced.  A trip to Eldora is not complete without a sampling of one, if not all, of the World Famous Pizza Burger, Chicken Wings, Hot Cheese Balls, Hunt Brothers Pizza, Dogs, Cheddars, $1 Cokes and $2 Beers and $4 mixed drinks.

Tickets for the #LastCallForMethanol are still just $20 for adults while children (12 and younger) are admitted free to General Admission seating for all events.  Parking and camping is free.  Event information is online at www.EldoraSpeedway.com or by calling the Speedway Box Office at (937) 338-3815.

About Eldora Speedway:

Since carved from a cornfield in the natural amphitheater that existed between the Eldora Ballroom and the Wabash River by bandleader Earl Baltes in 1954, Eldora Speedway has grown to be a frontrunner in motorsports growth and stability. Baltes chose to sell the legendary high-banked clay oval to motorsports entrepreneur and NASCAR, IndyCar and USAC champion Tony Stewart in 2004. Eldora will celebrate its 64th consecutive season of racing in 2017 featuring the biggest events in short-track racing, including the: $100,000-to-win Dirt Late Model Dream Weekend by Ferris Mowers on June 8th-9th-10th; the $50,000-to-win Kings Royal Weekend on July 13th-14th-15th; the Camping World Truck Series’ Eldora Dirt Derby – NASCAR’s only race on dirt on Wednesday, July 19th; the 47th Annual World 100 Weekend on September 7th-8th-9th; and the historic 4-Crown Nationals on September 22nd and 23rd. The complete schedule for Eldora’s 64th consecutive season, including ticket and campsite information will be posted at www.EldoraSpeedway.com.
