PROMOTER’S POINT-October 10     2017!

This coming week-end is the 32ND Annual INDIANA MICHIGAN CHALLENGE!

Yes, we know at present the weather forecast is less than ideal!

But it will probably change several times before the week-end and we will keep monitoring it!

We intend to do everything we possibly can to get the show in this week-end!

That includes the possibility of adjusting the times we open and start each day based on the hourly prediction of TWC!

So stayed tuned!

It was a most interesting night this past Saturday at the historic Mottville Speedway!

TWC called for a strong rain between 7 PM and 8 Pm and they were right on for once!

But we started on time and ran a fast paced program, had our pay-off and everyone was on the road 30 minutes before the rain came!

Really very grateful we started at 5PM instead of the usual 6:30!

A season high 4 Bombers!

Great news for this very new class!

Great Hornet feature!

Good racing for sure!

Zach Martz back for first time this season and Rex Evans for first time ever!

Eric Root did get his Bomber on the track twice but never ran more than a lap all night!

Oh well, always next week!

First Keri Martz ran out of gas and then Evans!

So  neat win for veteran Scott Binkley!

Ed Martz had to work hard for his 14th Hornet win!

Son Zach, James Harman and Adam Bradford were all in it at the end in a very close 1-2-3-4 car finish!

7th win of the season for Compact season points leader Dennis Yoder and Clay Crowner padded his 2nd place in the points!

Huge week-end coming up!

The highest pay-off we have ever made thanks to LOGAN LANDSCAPNG, INSTANT CASH OF THREE RIVERS AND SC ROOFING!

A BIG THJANKS TO JR LONG FOR OBTAINING THIS SPONSORSHIP!

This race is really generating the interest I can tell you that!

Sad news for sure this past Thursday when word came that former driver and current Mottville Speedway fan #77 Doug Gage and had taken his final checkered flag!

Doug had retired from racing several years ago but was a frequent visitor to the historic Mottville Speedway!

I remember just about 2 ½ years ago how shook up Doug was when his friend Victor Krontz died and I know Doug had planned to attend the 3rd Annual Victor Krontz Memorial race but it was simply not to be!

A lesson for all of us-we never know when our time on this earth is up-so be prepared!

Doug will sure be missed!

This Saturday it is open 4  and race at 5 PM!

PLEASE NOTE TIME CHANGE!

We have had to make a change in our Thursday practices because of people making a reservation and then not showing up while Dana Demerly waits for them!

So now you make a reservation and when you get to the track you call Dana at 269-464-2030 and he will come and open up.

He lives in Mottville.

Lots of exciting racing ahead!

With other tracks now starting to warp up their seasons we remind one and all that he historic Mottville Speedway is open through the end of October and we may well run the first week of November!!
