JR ;LONG says he will be rejoin us at the historic Mottville Speedway LABOR DAY MONDAY for the big trophy night sponsored by SQUADRON 189, SONS OF THE AMERICAN LEGION IN WALKERTON!
It will be great to have JR back!
I need to point out once again about how our web site www.mottvillespeedway.com works.
Here is what the home page says:
Rules, Registrations, Results, and Updates can be found on the Message Board !!
Then you simply click on the message board button and scroll down message board until you find what you are looking for.
We do keep the web site updated weekly.
I had to laugh at a recent development on Facebook!
A guy from Bremen was critical of a local track and before you knew you he issued a 180 degree apology and could not apologize enough it seemed!
Obviously, he was facing a ban if he did not retract and he sure retracted for sure!
Same with us at the historic Mottville Speedway.
Those who post hateful and negative messages will not be allowed to race with us and that includes the super high paying Indiana Michigan Challenge October 14 and 15!
Of course, the vast majority of the haters do not race our classes anyway!
Bu I can tell you as we make plans for 2018 we are going to totally ignore the haters and do what benefits the historic Mottville Speedway, our drivers and fans!
Of course, that will not fit the mode of the typical track and the haters will not approve but so be it because I have found you can not please the haters no matter what you do!
We are sure looking forward to the Labor Day week-end double header with racing on both Saturday and Monday!
Please note Monday we open at 4 PM and race at 5 PM!
Glenna Root told me they plan on getting a lot of mowing done at the track this week and Dana Demerly has been cutting those never ending saplings from the fences!
The new Bomber class moves ever closer to starting!
Eric Root will have his Bomber at the track this week!
We would like to have at least 4 Bombers to start the class.
With other tracks now starting to warp up their seasons we remind one and all that he historic Mottville Speedway is open through the end of October!
Just got word that MIKE JONES will be back at Mottville racing his Hornet both Saturday and Monday!
Plus I am told former track champion DAVID TERRY will finally make his 2017 racing debut in a Hornet!
Nice win for Dennis Yoder Sunday to pad his season points lead for the Mottville Stocks!
Mike Kline was super fast in the pursuit and heat and then the car lost power in the feature.
Ed Martz has his Hornet really humming but Emily Root scored her first checkered flag of the year and first in her present car by winning the pursuit and she had to drive hard to get that win!
Her improvement this season has been amazing!
Adam Bradford went from the penthouse last week (feature win) to the basement the basement (last) Sunday!
He cut down a tire in the pursuit and never seemed to get that speed back again!
Heard a fan remark that our concession food is the best around!
Music to my ears and Glenna and Sharon Root have really done an amazing job!
Plus they have taken on the job of selling drawing tickets as well and the results have been fantastic!
Racing at the historic Mottville Speedway resumes SATURDAY , September 2 !!Gates open at 5:30 PM with racing at 6:30 PM!
MS, MTC and Hornets!
LABOR DAY MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 4 SQUADRON 189, SONS OF THE AMERICAN LEGION IN WALKERTON will sponsor a TROPHY NIGHT!
MONDAY WE OPEN AT 4 AND RACE AT 5 PM!!!
Trophies to all dash and heat winners and he top 4 in each feature!
Saturday, October 7 is the 3rd Annual Victor Krontz Memorial sponsored by Bullet Race Cars!
