Saturday night at Crystal Motor Speedway found a beautiful evening with over 134 cars in the pits and full grandstands to enjoy another night of dirt racing at the iconic three-eighths clay oval.

In the Kentucky Fried Chicken Late Model event, Travis Stemler moved up from his fifth place starting position and then spent the rest of the race fending back Ryan Lanphierd. The next three places were filled by Scott Baker, Ryan VanderVeen, and Zack Olger all starting tenth place and back. Garrett Wiles advanced by winning the B Main feature while heats were taken by VanderVeen, Kenny Playter, and Stemler. Baker holds a commanding lead in the points over David Hilliker, Josh Knoll, Michael Archer, and Rachel Carpenter.

Kody Johnson garnered his first ever feature win in the Lane Automotive IMCA Modified division at CMS over a group of formidable top five finishers in the forms of Myron DeYoung, AJ Ward, John DeYoung Jr, and Jerry Hunt. Johnson and Aaron Raby notched heat wins. In the points race, Ward holds a 23 point lead over Myron DeYoung, Austin Wonch, Brenten DeYoung, and Nick Stormzand.

One of the more contested races of the night was in the Next Level Graphics and Design Street Stock event with George Wease overtaking Ryan Alexander in the final couple laps to take the win. Third place went to Jasen Wiley, followed by Andrew Fidler, and Timothy DeGroft Jr. Cade Schafer won the B feature with heat wins falling to Wease, Alexander, and Dustin Weber. Wiley holds an 18 point lead over Alexander, Wease, Dennis Parker, and Gabe Geselman.

Mike Currier ran a strong race in a tough field to take the Races On The Web Flinn Stock event over Collin Schafer, Draven Grosvenor, Rusty Sowles, and Ally Crippen. Sowles and Currier posed for heat win photos. Allen Roszell holds a 23 point advantage over Kolby Rohn, Schafer, Ronald Fuhrman, and Grosvenor in the points race.

Don Rohn added another Port City Racing Pro Stock feature win to his stat book as he held off Jeramie Raby, Josh Loomis, Derek Schestag and Josh Sternberg to take the event. Rohn and Schestag also picked up heat wins. Raby has a three point lead over Schestag, Eric Baird, Matt Muha, and Rohn with four points nights left on the schedule.

Matt Pickard returned to his winning ways after a bad month of July in the Engine Pro Pro Truck event. Rob Putt took the final flag second, followed by Kenny Dittenber, Curtis Rice, and Paul Grosnickle. Rice and Pickard picked up heat wins on their way to the top five feature finishes. The points race is almost as hot as some of the racing in the division with Pickard holding a three point lead over Rice, Chris Malek, Dittenber, and Jim Beltz.

In the 10 to 14-year-old division of the Daily News Mini-Wedge beginners class, Dillon Kohn took the win over Riley Bowen, Thomas Parker, Andrew Bogart, Alexis Morris, Brent Wonch, Zevon Nemetz, and Rylee Knoll.
