The Fargo, North Dakota-native finished fourth during heat race action to earn his way into Friday’s program.

The following evening, Schatz concluded the Texas Two-Step with a seventh-place run after starting 13th on the $10,000-to-win grid. Schatz finished fifth in his respective heat race to kick-off his final night in the Lone Star State, timing 13th-fastest overall just beforehand.
