(Three mid-summer races pay $1,000-to-win-+ in addition to
$1,500+ to three race series point champ)
(EAGLE RIVER, WI) – B mod racers from across Wisconsin and Upper Michigan will have a chance to square off for some big money during the B Mod Triple Crown at Eagle River Speedway on June 22, July 13 and August 10.
The good news is the driver’s odds are good that the projected payouts for these events will likely be much higher as promoters Pat and Patti Zdroik have a few tricks up their sleeves to boost not only the payouts throughout the field for these three shows but a point fund which will pay a minimum of 10 spots deep with the champion collecting a minimum of $1,500 cash.
In addition to the ongoing search for additional sponsors a driver’s Fan Fund will be created for the opening round of this series in which two categories will be set up – one for locals and one for travelers. Fans and sponsors will be able to cast votes for their favorite drivers they’d like to see pull through the gates and trade some paint on Eagle River’s third-mile, clay oval. Details on this Fan Fund will be released in the future.
In addition, race fans and local businesses will be able to throw some extra cash into the “kitty” to build the pot even more. “Our goal is not only to boost the pay to the winner but we plan on throwing some of that bonus cash throughout the field for the other feature finishing positions as well,” Pat Zdroik said. “The potential for this deal is there to wind up paying out a pretty good chunk of change throughout the field.”
For its weekly shows Eagle River Speedway’s B Mod rules package allows drivers from multiple sanctions like WISSOTA, USRA and IMCA to compete. However, for these three shows the only allowed tire permitted for this three race series will be the IMCA stamped Hoosier G 60. “We are doing this simply to level the playing field for these three races,” Zdroik explained. “When we release our payout for these shows combined with the point fund we’re setting up it will be well worth the time and effort of not only travelers but our local competitors as well.”
The 2021 season is set for Sunday, May 30. A total of 14 race nights dot the track’s calendar, including a handful of “Test and Tune” sessions thrown into the mix.
Divisions running weekly in 2021 include the B Mods, ERS Late Models, Stock Cars, Unified Street Stocks, Junior Sprints and 600 Micro Sprints. The Pure Stock division will also compete during a handful of nights.
