SIX CLASSES WILL REMAIN THE SAME – A SPECIAL OR TWO       MAY BE ON TAP)

(EAGLE RIVER, WI) October 15 – Eagle River Speedway promoters Pat and Patti Zdroik have announced their weekly divisions that will compete at the D-shaped, third-mile clay oval nestled in north central Wisconsin for 2021.

The phrase “if it isn’t broken don’t fix it” comes into play as the same six classes that competed weekly in 2020 will return when the 2021 season kicks off next spring.

The classes that will compete on a weekly basis include the Chef Rene B Mods, Sweetwater ERS late models, Coffen Construction stocks, Eagle River Dock & Lift Unified street stocks, JD Archery 600 micro sprints and Hartmann Well Drilling 300 junior sprints. “We wanted to make this announcement now so teams can start making plans for next year,” Zdroik said. “We’re hearing a lot of exciting things with regards to our late model division as we should see some new blood in that one weekly. We’ve got some other people building cars for other divisions already. We’re looking forward to a great year next year.”

Despite a menacing pandemic that continues to grip the country Zdroik’s were able to safely host races this year with a late start that began June 25. The track champions from 2020 included Marinesco, Michigan’s Marcus Dunbar (B mod and ERS late model), Pulaski’s “Hot Rod” Snellenberger (stock), Sugar Camp’s Jason Eisel (Unified street stock), Boulder Junction’s Mya Towne (600 micro) and Hartford’s Mason Zdroik (300 micro). “We got a late start last year due to the pandemic but we’d like to throw in a special or two onto next year’s schedule if it makes good sense for Eagle River Speedway,” Zdroik said. A late May tentative opener is planned for ’21 with talks of a possible practice and car show prior to the regular season. Details of that have yet to be finalized.
