Hey everyone guess what Paragon Speedway in Paragon,Indiana was rained out this past Friday Night. This means I didn’t go to any tracks Friday, however  Gas City I 69 Speedway here in Indiana did get there racing in Friday Night. I am glad some tracks are able to dodge and avoid mother nature!

I had the pleasure of interviewing Kevin Witmer. His home track has always been New Paris Speedway near Napanee,Indiana.

Kevin started in 2008 in the Front Wheel Drive Division at New Paris Speedway. Kevin ended up with winning around 30 FWD division Feature Wins before moving up into the Hobby Stock Division again at New Paris Speedway.

Kevin Witmer has 4 previous feature wins in The Hobby Stock Division at New Paris Speedway. In 2019 Kevin has one Hobby Stock A Feature win at New Paris Speedway. Kevin is totally content running and staying in the Hobby Stock Division at New Paris Speedway.

Kevin has raced at Plymouth Speedway when it was asphalt and Mottville Speedway in Michigan. Kevin says Mottville is a fun track to race on being that the track is structured for low budget racing teams.

If you do not want to race for points or a track title then Mottville Speedway is the place for you. Mottville Speedway is a fun place to race just for fun.

Kevin Witmer is sponsored by Kaley Motors and Drive Shafts and Suspension  Springs Specialists. In northern Indiana. Kevin owns his own car at New Paris Speedway. He enjoys fan interaction on Autograph Night at the track. Kevin also has four B Feature wins this year in New Paris Hobby Stocks.

Kevin enjoys the stiff competition in the Hobby Stock Division and is a family oriented class at New Paris. The Hobby Stock Division averages twenty plus cars each week at New Paris Speedway.

I urge you to visit the historic New Paris Speedway if you have never been to this unique facility. It is the one asphalt track I know of where you can park your car up close to the track fence and literally watch races! It reminds me of being at an old Drive In Movie Theater with the speaker hanging on your car window. You can grill out hamburgers and hot dogs and watch good old grass roots Racing! Just bring your cooler and enjoy Short Track Saturday Night Racing with your family and friends. Life does not get any better than this!
