Saturday night was ‘Yes 2 Kids’ Autograph Night at Crystal Motor Speedway. Nearly all of the 122 drivers on hand on the front stretch about an hour before the race night got started signing autographs for kids and kids at heart.

In the KFC Late Model feature event, it was Saranac’s Dave Hartman picking up the win over fellow Saranac resident Jason Playter Jr, and Derrick Hilliker of Midland. Hilliker had advanced to the big feature by winning the B Main event. Heat wins fell to Hartman, Megan Carpenter of Lainsburg, and Garrett Wiles of Hubbardston.

Mitchell Hunt of Greenville picked up the win in the Lane Automotive IMCA Modifieds division over Dan Wiggins II of Fenwick and AJ Ward of Ionia. Taylor Wiles of Hubbardston and AJ Ward of Ionia claimed heat events.

Mickey Currier of Sidney fought his way from his tenth place starting position to win the Next Level Graphics & Design LLC Street Stocks feature over Kevin Rohn of Stanton and Shane Spencer of Alma. Kevin Rohn and Don Rohn of Sheridan brought home heat wins.

Greenville’s Rusty Sowles had to fight off a hard-charging Mike Currier of Fenwick to win the Races On The Web Flinn Stock event. Kolby Rohn of Sheridan was third. Currier had started near the rear of the field to second before the final flag flew in the event. Heats events were won by Kolby Rohn and Roshea Courter of Lakeview.

Alma’s Chris Malek picked up another Port City Racing Pro Stock feature by fending off Ryan Teeter and Rob Brillhart, both of Crystal. Malek and Andrew Fidler of Elwell added heat wins to their career stats.

Kenny Dittenber of Carson City picked up another feature event in the Engine Pro Pro Trucks division, with Jim Beltz of Kent City and Ashlee Scott of Vestaburg rounding out the top three finishers. Paul Grosnickle of Lansing picked up the heat event in earlier racing.

In The Greenville Daily News Mini Wedge divisions, Jazzlyn Hale of Crystal scored the 6-9-year-old division, followed by her brother Delano Hale and Mikah Kurkowski of Sidney. Heat events fell to Jazzlyn Hale and Zayden Buskirk of Crystal.

In the 10-14-year-old event, Thomas Parker of Wayland picked up the win over Brent Wonch of Stanton and Andrew Bogart of Howard City. Bryant VanderMark of Greenville took the heat event.

Next week at Crystal Motor Speedway is a regular night with all seven of the regular divisions, sponsored by Blake Hollenbeck Auto of Greenville. Adults are $15, kids 5-11 are $5, and pit passes are $30. Gates open at 4:30 PM with racing getting started at 7:30.
