By Mike Swanger

For the 7th time this season, rain stops any chances of racing at NAPA Jani Auto Parts Wayne County Speedway on Saturday. It was also the second time this season that the OSCS (Ohio Sprint Car Series) races were cancelled at WCS this season.

On the racing docket for next Saturday, July 28th will be the Pine Tree Towing & Recovery Sprints, the CorBon Super Stock and the WQKT 104.5 Mini Stocks as the big event of the night will be the 4th Annual Buckeye Late Model Dirt Week with $3,000 going to the winner of the Don Gross Memorial for the Kar Connection Super Late Models. Duane Chamberlain, Jeff Babcock and Doug Drown have been the winners of the three previous Don Gross Memorials. The race will also coincide with the final race of the Attica Raceway Park/Wayne County Speedway Super Late Model Series as ARP will host the series on Friday, July 27th.
