After a blistering mid-week event, the weatherman cooperated Saturday night at Crystal Motor Speedway where all seven regular divisions were on hand, sponsored by C.L. Trucking and Excavating of Ionia.

In the KFC Late Models, St. Johns native, Zack Olger took the big show over David Hilliker of Midland, and Rachel Carpenter of Lainsburg. Blanchard’s Carl Ries advanced by winning the B Main, and heat wins were picked up by Tyler Norton, Midland, Travis Stemler of Ionia, and Kurt Mesman of Wyoming.

Stanton’s Brody Bowser took the Lane Automotive IMCA Modified event, followed by John DeYoung Jr and Brenten DeYoung, both from Crystal. Heats were taken by AJ Ward of Ionia and Brenten DeYoung.

Mickey Currier of Sidney won the Next Level Graphics & Design LLC Street Stocks with Hubbardston’s George Wease and Dustin Weber of Riverdale rounding out the top three. Dustin Wiggins and Currier claimed heat wins.

Mike Currier of Fenwick picked up the Races On The Web Flinn Stock event, followed by Rusty Sowles of Greenville, and Sheridan’s Jason Barrus. Currier and Barrus chalked up heat wins.

Deford’s Jeremy Spencer won the Port City Racing Pro Stock event, followed by Rob Brillhart of Crystal and Bannister’s Kyle Hunt. Chris Malek from Alma and Brillhart added heat wins to their season stats.

Curtis Rice, Muskegon, went home with the Engine Pro Pro Truck event, followed by Kenny Dittenber of Carson City, and Paul Grosnickle of Lansing. Grosnickle picked up the preliminary heat event.

Delano Hale of Crystal won the 6 to 9-year-old feature of the Greenville Daily News Mini Wedge beginner’s division, with Mikah Kurkowski from Sidney and Stanton’s Teegan Williams rounding out the top three. Eli Fellows of Crystal picked up the heat win.

In the ten to fourteen-year-old event, Thomas Parker of Wayland took the win over Andrew Bogart of Howard City and Bryant VanderMark of Greenville. Bogart also picked up the heat win.

Next Saturday night at Crystal Motor Speedway, the SOD Sprints will be in attendance, giving the Flinn Stocks the night off. Gates open at 4:30 PM with racing at 7:30 PM.
