MYERSTOWN, Pa. (June 4, 2018) – Brent Marks officially etched his name in the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series history books on Saturday night during action at Wilmot (Wis.) Raceway, solidifying his place on top of the feature podium for a first-ever World of Outlaws victory. Marks, a second-year traveler with the Greatest Show On Dirt, earned his first Outlaw victory in demanding fashion, lapping over half of the field during the 40-lap program, ultimately crossing under the final checkers with a near-five second advantage.

Just one night prior, Marks kicked-off his weekend by earning his first World of Outlaws top-five finish of the season, rallying in a big way by charging forward from 22nd to finish fifth at I-96 Speedway in Lake Odessa, Michigan. Marks’ 17-position charge was enough to solidify KSE Hard Charger honors with the World of Outlaws, his fifth of the 2018 season.

“I don’t think the win has really sunk in yet,” Brent Marks said, driver of the Brent Marks Racing/M&M Painting & Construction/BAPS Auto Paint & Supply/Eagle Hotel/No. 19 sprint car. “I can’t thank Jesse enough for his hard work and determination. It has been only him and I out here on the road so far this year. To say we are exhausted is a real understatement, especially with some of the issues we’ve been forced to battle through the last few weeks. To get this win is incredible. What an amazing feeling. I hope this never goes away.”

Adding a little drama to his victory march at Wilmot Raceway, Marks was forced manhandle an ill-handling car, actually losing a right-front tire during the 40-lap main event.

“It was all I could do to turn the car,” Marks explained. “It was getting pretty interesting.”

Brent Marks will continue his 2018 World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series campaign with visits to Fairbury (Ill.) American Legion Speedway and Jackson (Minn.) Motorplex, respectively. The week will ignite officially at Fairbury on Tuesday, June 5, followed by three, straight nights of Jackson Nationals competition at Jackson Motorplex on Thursday through Saturday, June 7-9. Marks will enter the weekend 11th in the World of Outlaws championship standings, just 12 markers out of the top-ten.
