VINCENTOWN, N.J. (May 7, 2018) – Although Justin Whittall’s weekend with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour was somewhat disheartening, failing to qualify for each of the contested A-mains during action at Williams Grove (Pa.) Speedway and Selinsgrove (Pa.) Speedway, a lot of information was documented, already planning redemption during his next start against the nation’s best 360c.i. open wheel racers, if the opportunity should arise.
“It wasn’t the best weekend, that is for sure, but we learned a lot. That’s the most important part,” Justin Whittall said, pilot of the JW Motorsports/Atlantic Utility Trailer/Brotherton Brewing Company/Pioneer Auto Body/Worldwide Bearings/No. 67 sprint car. “Like any other sport, you learn the most when things don’t go your way. Not too often we have an opportunity to race against that level of competition this close to home, so we have to take advantage of every lap we get in hopes of learning sometime new. It was a great experience. We’ll put this weekend behind us and move forward.”
Justin Whittall will reset his focus and begin preparations for another round of United Racing Club (URC) competition this Friday night at Bedford (Pa.) Speedway. If things go well on Friday night, Whittall may return to Selinsgrove Speedway on Saturday, May 12. The Vincentown, N.J., native will enter the weekend with a pair of recent top-ten finishes to his credit, one of which occurring inside the top-five.
