SHREVE, Ohio (April 30, 2018) – With the inaugural Sprint Car World Championship in his rearview mirror, Shreve, Ohio’s Trevor Baker will now look ahead and begin preparations for an All Star Circuit of Champions doubleheader in Western Pennsylvania and eastern Ohio, ready to battle the best in the region for a pair of $5,000 top prizes on Friday and Saturday, May 4-5.
Baker, driver of the T-Rev Performance/Baker’s Mobile Home Transport/Exodus Cycle/Coblentz Trucking/H&S Concrete/Mid Ohio Diesel/No. 45 sprint car, will follow the All Stars to the famed Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pa., on Friday evening, May 4, all before paying a visit to the state-of-the-art Sharon Speedway in Hartford, Ohio, on Saturday, May 5.
Tony Stewart’s All Stars will visit Lernerville Speedway only once in 2018, while Sharon Speedway is scheduled to host the regional travelers on three, separate occasions.
“We are pretty excited for Lernerville and Sharon,” Baker explained, who earned an All Star dash appearance during a start at Bubba Raceway Park in Ocala, Florida. “It’s tough to pass up an opportunity to race with the All Stars this close to home. Hopefully we can put together two, solid performances and get that first top-ten finish of the season. The speed is there, we just need to put it all together.”
Trevor Baker will enter the All Star Circuit of Champions double fresh off of a Sprint Car World Championship start at Mansfield (Ohio) Motor Speedway, missing a preliminary A-main appearance by two positions on Friday night, April 27. Baker did not return on Saturday.
“We were pretty pleased with how things went on Friday at Mansfield, but it wasn’t in our best interest to return on Saturday,” Trevor Baker continued. “I want to thank the track staff and officials for helping us get the show in on Friday. The weather wasn’t the best, but we got it in and we got to race. We are already looking forward to going back.”
