Brent Marks will begin new year at Volusia Speedway Park

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

MYERSTOWN, PA (January 23, 2018) – After a pair of All Star Circuit of Champions starts at Volusia to officially kick-off 2018, the “Myerstown Missile” Brent Marks will launch his second, full season as a World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series competitor with a three-day visit to the Volusia Speedway Park near Barberville, Florida, on February 9-11.

Marks, who finished second in the final Kevin Gobrecht “Rookie of the Year” standings with the World of Outlaws in 2017, will enter the new year with high hopes and big goals, not only aiming to finish higher in the World of Outlaws championship standings, but also working to earn a career-first World of Outlaws feature victory. The former Pennsylvania Posse representative earned 23 top-ten finishes against the Greatest Show On Dirt in 2017, one of which inside the top-five.

“We’re ready to get the year going,” Brent Marks explained, pilot of the M&M Painting & Construction/BAPS Auto Paint & Supply/Eagle Hotel/No. 19. “I think we are ten steps ahead of last year. Having a full season under our belts really helped us in terms of preparation. We knew exactly what we needed to do to get the year started. We don’t get to come home for a few months, so being prepared and making sure your equipment is ready is important. I’m ready to get to Florida.”

Brent Marks’ five-day campaign in the Sunshine State will kick-off a February schedule consisting of six events with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series. After his visit to Volusia, where he earned his first top-ten finish as a full-time World of Outlaws competitor, Marks will hit the highway and travel due west, setting his GPS toward a pair of destinations in Texas, followed by a stop in Las Vegas, Nevada, on February 28.
