We predict a crush around the SpeedKore™ Performance Group booth (Central Hall #24093) at SEMA 2017 thanks to some extraordinary cars, products and celebrities.

Stars of the show will be three vehicles making their debut. These include a spectacular Dodge Challenger SRT Demon, plus a pair of outstanding Mustangs in the official Ford booth. One of these cars belongs to actor, Robert Downey Jr, who will appear via video to present his passion project. Rock star and car collector Sammy Hagar is also scheduled to appear at the SpeedKore press conference, which takes place at 2:30pm on Wednesday afternoon. Sammy will be on hand to help unveil the SpeedKore Dodge Demon and many of the new carbon fiber parts handmade at the company’s Wisconsin facility.

SPEEDKORE DODGE DEMON

Made famous by its 840hp output and drag racing-focused dynamics, the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon represents the most extreme muscle car ever built by an American manufacturer. And yet SpeedKore’s immediate response was to enhance the amazing vehicle with weight savings in its unique style.

At the heart of the SpeedKore transformation is its carbon fiber body panels, designed to add rigidity, shed weight and look as menacing as a Demon should. All SpeedKore carbon fiber parts are made in-house from pre-preg composites in Grafton, WI using its own autoclave to help ensure the highest OE-quality parts possible.

The SpeedKore carbon fiber parts available for the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon (and other Challenger models where applicable) include the following:

  • Front splitter
  • Front fenders
  • Front bumper
  • Hood
  • Door skins
  • Roof panel
  • Fender flares
  • Rocker panels
  • Rear bumper
  • Rear decklid
  • Rear spoiler
  • Rear diffuser
  • Rear quarter panels

Finished in a satanic shade of PPG red paint, the carbon fiber weave can be seen breaking through the paint on the SpeedKore Demon, which takes center stage in the company’s SEMA booth. With its significant weight reduction, the car repeatedly waved its front wheels in the air during pre-SEMA product testing using the stock Demon wheels and tires.

The SpeedKore carbon fiber Dodge Challenger SRT Demon parts are available individually, in pre-selected packages or as a complete kit.

More details are available at speedkore.com and visitors to SEMA 2017 can view the carbon fiber-bodied Dodge Challenger SRT Demon at the SpeedKore booth #24093 in Central Hall.

SPEEDKORE 2018 FORD MUSTANG GT

Another big story for the 2017 SEMA Show is the 2018 Ford Mustang, which introduces a raft of updates to make it a more potent sports car than ever before. And SpeedKore is playing its part by introducing its own interpretation of the new Mustang GT Convertible, sticking to the proven SpeedKore recipe of less weight and more power.

The car has been on a strict carbon fiber diet, which includes musclebound fender flares at all four corners, increasing the vehicle’s track, accommodating HRE P204 Wheels with Michelin tires, and giving the new Mustang a powerful appearance.

Other SpeedKore carbon fiber additions include a deep front splitter, side skirts, sculpted rear wing and a complete rear bumper. The finished car was then painted with PPG products to achieve a mirror-like finish.

The SpeedKore 2018 Ford Mustang GT Convertible also has a carbon fiber roll-bar, tonneau cover and seat backs. The stunning interior was completed by Gabe’s Street Rod Custom Interiors to demonstrate how good the car can look with the right craftsman involved. It also features SpeedKore carbon fiber door trims and interior quarter panels to maintain the composite theme.

To get the wind whistling through the driver’s hair, the SpeedKore 2018 Ford Mustang GT has a Stage 2 Ford Performance / Roush supercharger, endowing it with 700hp and 610 lb-ft of torque. Stopping power is provided by a set of 15” drilled Brembo rotors and six-piston calipers. Finally, Eibach Pro Street coilover suspension was added to achieve the perfect combination of comfort, control and stance.

The SpeedKore carbon fiber parts for the 2018 Ford Mustang are available individually, in pre-selected packages or as a complete kit. SpeedKore will be producing a limited run of pre-assembled 2018 Ford Mustangs in your color of choice and with a selection of performance parts through its custom vehicle service.

More details are available at speedkore.com and visitors to SEMA 2017 can view the carbon fiber-bodied 2018 Ford Mustang GT Convertible at the main Ford booth in Central Hall. Visitors can also visit the SpeedKore booth #24093 in Central Hall to discuss building their own.

SPEEDKORE 1970 FORD MUSTANG BOSS 302

With the company’s unrivalled reputation for building world class muscle cars, SpeedKore attracts a number of high-profile customers. One such celebrity is movie star, Robert Downey Jr, who commissioned a pro-touring 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302 from SpeedKore.

Displayed in the main Ford booth, the build has been a labor of love for all parties, with Robert being involved in the design and construction process.

The spec list for the car is lengthy and highlights include a number of very high-quality carbon fiber pieces created by SpeedKore solely for the project. Although most of it is covered in a distinctive PPG Khaki yellow paint, the pre-preg carbon panels include the hood, fenders, deck lid, both bumpers, deep chin spoiler, quarter extensions and valance.

Open the carbon fiber hood and the engine bay is cloaked in a carbon fiber shroud that surrounds the Ford Performance Aluminator 5.0L V8 with its Stage 2 Ford Performance / Roush supercharger and custom SpeedKore exhaust system that push the power to supercar levels.

To handle that horsepower, SpeedKore installed a Detroit Speed aluminum frame and QuadraLink as well as reinforced subframes front and rear. The car uses a Bowler T56 transmission and Detroit Speed Ford 9” rear-end.

The Boss 302 sits on a set of “one off” HRE custom wheels that were made specifically for the project. They are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires and accommodate Baer 6S calipers and rotors for powerful stopping ability.

SpeedKore designed the interior with Robert’s input. The work was contracted to Gabe’s Street Rod Custom Interiors to ensure the quality matched the rest of the build. Air conditioning by Vintage Air was also incorporated to bring everything up to date.

The 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302 by SpeedKore is a totally custom build and represents the services offered by SpeedKore at its headquarters in Grafton, WI. Customers wishing to discuss their own build can obtain company contact information at speedkore.com

Visitors to SEMA 2017 can view the carbon fiber-bodied, supercharged 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302 at the main Ford booth in Central Hall. Visitors can also visit the SpeedKore booth #24093 in Central Hall to discuss this car or building their own.

SPEEDKORE 2016 FORD MUSTANG SHELBY GT350R

A third SpeedKore Mustang will be on display at SEMA 2017 in the Jet Performance booth (Central Hall #23713). The car is a 2016 Mustang Shelby GT350R, which was built for a customer who saw the concept in the main Ford booth at SEMA 2016. That car won a2016 Ford Design Award at the show, appeared on Jay Leno’s Garage, and was ordered by several customers after the show.

The Jet Performance display car is equipped with the following SpeedKore carbon fiber pieces:

  • Hood
  • Front bumper
  • Front splitter
  • Front fenders
  • Fender flares
  • Door skins
  • Mirrors covers
  • Roof
  • Side skirts
  • Rear quarter panels
  • Rear bumper
  • Rear diffuser
  • Deck lid
  • Rear spoiler
  • SpeedKore gas cap

The SpeedKore carbon fiber panels are clearcoated but unpainted for visitors to admire the craftsmanship. The car does wear broad racing stripes through the roof and hood, however. The Shelby GT350R also retains its original carbon fiber wheels to maintain the lightweight theme.

Visitors to SEMA 2017 can view the carbon fiber-bodied Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R in the Jet Performance booth in Central Hall #23713.

OTHER SPEEDKORE STARS

In addition to its carbon-fiber bodied Dodge Demon, the SpeedKore booth (Central Hall booth #24093) will feature a number of carbon fiber panels for inspection and discussion. Another star of the show will be the Mercury Racing SB4 7.0 V8 engine. The potent and durable crate engine delivers 750hp on pump gas with an 8000rm rev limit, making it ideal for high-performance applications. The engine is available from SpeedKore and representatives will be happy to discuss delivery or installation with visitors to the SEMA booth.

With so much to see in the SpeedKore booth, the company has enlisted the help of rock legend and car collector Sammy Hagar to unveil its latest products.

Sammy will be in the SpeedKore booth at 2:30pm on Wednesday to help announce the latest products. The SpeedKore booth is in Central Hall #24093.
