ANDERSON, Ind. (August 4, 2017) –  The PGG Enterprises Late Model Shootout and the Mel Kenyon Midget Series will bring plenty of racing excitement to Anderson Speedway on Saturday.

The Late Model drivers will be competing in the 100-lap, $2,000 to win PGG Enterprises Late Model Shootout on Murat Shrine Night at the Races.

Defending track champion Jeff Marcum has recorded three feature victories in 2017 with Aaron Pierce and Kent Baledge both claiming wins. In two appearances by the Champion Racing Association Sportsman Late Models R.J. Norton III and Tony Brutti claimed their first career wins.

A strong field of Late Models is expected for the 100-lap feature event including Rich Segvich, second in the point standings, Danny Trent and KC Spillers.

The Mel Kenyon Midgets are making their fifth appearance of the year in the Parallax Power Supply 30 with Dameron Taylor looking for his third consecutive win on the high banked quarter-mile oval. Pay Less Little 500 winner Kyle Hamilton won the feature during the first visit of the series and Trey Osborne recorded a victory.

For the second time this year the Front Wheel Drive Division will be in Figure 8 action. Nick Warner won the first event followed by Randy Owen and Mike Alley.

The Indiana Champ Karts are also on the racing program.

Qualifying is set for 6:30 with racing at 8 p.m. Adult tickets are priced at $12 and $4 for children between the ages of five and 12.
