Late Models and Midgets Oh Boy!
Stanley Steemer presents a full night of NASCAR Whelen All-American Series action this Saturday night at Rockford Speedway. The NASCAR Stanley Steemer Late Models will be joined by the Budweiser American Short Trackers, Mtn Dew RoadRunners, the Sam's Drive-In Second Over the Line Wins Race and the open wheeled excitement of the Illini Midgets returns to the high banks. Tim Sargent returned to victory lane in Late Model competition, giving notice to the 23 car field that the point leader is the real deal heading into the final seven events of the season. Meanwhile defending Champion Jerry Gille and Driver X Jon Reynolds, Jr both will attempt to recover from a dismal Saturday last week, both drivers are within striking distance and know how to win Championships as they have both collected three late model titles during their careers (Gille: Madison 1999, Rockford 2008, 2009; Reynolds, Jr: Big 8 2005, Slinger 2007, 2008). Spectator gates open at 5, qualifying is slated ! for 6 with the Stateline Staffing Services Dashes going Green at 7:07. Adult general admission tickets are just $10, ages 6-11 are $5, children 5 and under are FREE.

The Midwest Enduro Stock Car Series will make their second of three visits to Rockford Speedway this Sunday afternoon for a 250 lap big car and 125 lap small car enduro, action gets underway at 1pm. Adult admission is $12, ages 6-11 are $6 with kids 5 and under FREE, race fans can bring in their ticket stub from July 17, 24 or 31 and get half off their adult admission.
