Chad Finley is Flat Rock Speedway bound for the Inaugural Butch Giles
Memorial 100. By Brad Keselowski Racing / M.P.H. Promotions
DeWitt, Michigan (Wednesday, July 28, 2010): While Chad Finley continues to
gain experience throughout the remainder of the 2010 racing season, whether
it's in an ARCA ride or his Outlaw Bodied Super Late Model, all the
18-year-old Development Driver for Brad Keselowski Racing wants to do is
simply race!
He'll get that opportunity this Saturday, July 31st at the fast and tight
1/4 (0.250) mile semi-banked paved oval of the Flat Rock Speedway, located
South of Detroit and North of Toledo, Ohio in Flat Rock, Michigan for the
final leg of the ARCA Allegiant Air Late Model Gold Cup Series and the
running of the first Butch Giles Memorial 100.
In Finley's only other appearance at the Southwest Michigan track back on
June 26th for the Stan Yee Memorial 150, the DeWitt, Michigan teenager
finished Eighth in the extra distance affair. Finley is looking for
something better this time around behind the wheel of his
#29 Air Lift Systems / Auto Value Parts Stores & Certified Service Centers/
Autoparts20/20.com machine.
"We had a good run there the last time. We had to pit a few times to make
the car handle better and lost a lot of track position," He explained. "We
came back through the field though and finished eighth.
We have tested and found a few things that should really help us when get
back there this Saturday." Finley added.
The Inaugural Butch Giles Memorial 100 has been named in honor of Giles; a
long time sponsor and car owner at both ARCA sanctioned tracks of Flat Rock
and Toledo Speedways. Giles passed away just prior to the start of the 2010
season.
Flat Rock's Saturday, July 31 schedule will see the pit area opening at
1:30p.m., practice beginning at 3:00p.m., time trials at 5:00p.m., and
racing at 7:00p.m. There is no advance ticket sale for the event.
All tickets go on sale just prior to practice Saturday afternoon, July 31st.
Flat Rock Speedway is located on Telegraph Road, just 5 minutes from
I-75 or I-275. The track phone number is 734-782-2480. Log onto:

After the Butch Giles Memorial, Finley will stay in his Super Late Model and
head up North to the Dixie Motor Speedway in Birch Run, Michigan for the
final jewel within the Dixie Cup Triple Crown Series and the running of the
4th annual Mid-Michigan Dixie Challenge 100 on Friday, August 6th, which is
part of BIG ONE VIII with the Winged Sprint Cars representing the Auto Value
/ Bumper to Bumper Super Sprints Series.
As for the remainder of his 2010 ARCA Racing Series Presented by RE/MAX and
Menards calendar, the next race on Finley's schedule will be the Chicagoland
ARCA 150 at the Chicagoland Speedway, located West of Chicago in Joliet,
Illinois on Friday, August 27th.
However, Finley does need help sponsorship wise in order to run more ARCA
shows; "We're working really hard to find some marketing partners. We would
like to do some (NASCAR Camping World) Truck Series races at the end of this
year and we still need some help with our ARCA program." He explained.
"Auto Value has helped us a bunch, but they are only an associate sponsor
for any other races we run with the exception of ARCA race at Chicagoland.
Hopefully some one will step up and help us." Finley ended. In addition to
Chicagoland, plans also call for Finley to race the ARCA shows at Kansas
Speedway (September 30th) and the 2010 season finale at Rockingham Speedway
on October 9th.
