The Great Lakes Outlaw Late Model Series Invades Indiana in 2010!
Grand Rapids, MI - The Great Lakes Outlaw Late Model Series has released the inaugural 2010 schedule.
Nine events will comprise a very competitive 2010 season. As previously announced the schedule will consist of events at the prestigious Berlin Raceway, with the running of two races, the first being June 19. The second of the two races will be the series championship night on September 18. The Kalamazoo Speedway will host the series on July 17 with an event that is highly anticipated and Baer Field Speedway in Fort Wayne, Indiana will have appearances of the Great Lakes Outlaw Late Model Series on June 12 and August 14.
The Great Lakes Outlaw Late Model Series is excited to announce these additional events that will complete the 2010 series schedule. The debut race of the 2010 season will be held at the very competitive Plymouth Speedway in Plymouth, IN.
Bob Blount, Promoter of the Plymouth Speedway, invited the series to sanction all three of the Triple Crown Races for the 2010 race season. "Bringing in the Great Lakes Outlaw Late Model Series to run with the Triple Crown Races is going to make these shows that much more spectacular," stated Blount. "We really appreciate Bob Blount's support of our new series, the Blount family has an incredible history with the outlaw style late models and Plymouth will be a great partner for these races" stated Mike Strevel, General Manager for the series. "These three point's races will really be a big part of deciding the 2010 champion of our series, and getting a chance to watch the cars run on the Hoosier slicks will be really interesting."
The Great Lakes Outlaw Late Model Series will make two other appearances at the speedway on Saturday July 10 and Sunday September 5.
Angola Motor Speedway will feature the Great Lakes Outlaw Late Model Series sanctioning the prestigious "Stan Perry Memorial" race on June 10. The race will present $10,110 to winner with $500 just to start the main event, the biggest payout in speedway's history. "This show has always been a success for Angola Motor Speedway, but running that race with the Great Lakes Outlaw Late Model Series is only going to make what was already a good show great," said Craig Everage, Promoter of Angola Motor Speedway.
"It is really exciting to see this project, which started in August of 2009, actually come to fruition. I've attended many different types of races at Angola and they were always incredibly action-packed," stated Mike Strevel, General Manager for the series.
