On a beautiful day in Jones, Michigan the front wheel drive ROAD WARRIORS invade
M-40 Speedway for the first time ever .Let me tell you what, It was a great time
for them to show up. The weather was great and M-40 owners decided to go with a
$20.00 carload(or busload),  Which really brought in the crowd. The large crowd was
pleased to see a GREAT SHOW. The Front wheel drive ROAD WARRIOR CLASS showed up
with 24 cars for the big $500.00 plus payout that was offered to the winner. It was
real great to see some old friends and meet some new ones.

The night started out with Qualifying where Mark Mason set new track record for Road
Warriors with a fast time of 15.993 @ 84.730 MPH. The other classes had Robbie
Ferrier leading the way as he drove in 3 classes tonight, Setting fast time in 2 of
them ( Pure and Pro Stock ) and second fast in his Late Model as Jeff Ganus was
faster by a few ticks.

The Road Warriors were first to start the heat races for the night in front of a
HUGE crowd. Robert Rheinsburg, Lenard Ganey, and Bruce Strunk won the 3 heat races
in Road Warriors. Then Robbie Ferrier and Mike Walls won them in the Pure Stocks.
The Pro Stocks were up next with Eric McGlothlen and Brandon Zachary winning them.
The final heats were the fast Late Models which were won by Rick Hahn Jr  and
visiting racer Danny MacEwndorfer.

The features were up next after the crowd settled down from a short break in the
action to give everyone a few minutes to get a chance to stretch. We were underway
giving the crowd what it had been waiting for...THE FEATURES.

Starting with the Pro Stock Feature first. Brandon Zachary jumped out to the early
lead, With Eric McGlothlen and Ron Maynard Jr. running the high side trying to get
to the leader. The Fast Qualifier Robbie Ferrier was stuck out back having trouble
clearing traffic. Caution on lap 22 for last feature winner Tony Chapman with a
broken car. Brandon Zachary still in the lead but the field now tighten up. This
would make for a very exciting finish. On the last Lap, On the last turn,  The lead
car of Brandon Zachary gets a little loose coming out of turn 4, towards the
checker.          Eric McGlothen goes LOW and Ron Maynard Jr. goes HIGH for the win
...IT'S ERIC MCGLOTHLEN FOR THE WIN. With BRANDON ZACHARY (2nd) and RON MAYNARD JR
(3rd). three wide coming to the checker.  Fast Robbie Ferrier gets to 4th and First

definitely got the HUGE Crowd to there feet and young Eric Mc Glothlen knew it.He
could hear the crowd yelling and screaming "WHAT A RACE"

the early lead. The caution flag flew on lap 7 with the 33 car of Stephanie Sparks
spinning. This tightened up the field with Steve Smith in 2nd and Tim Thurston in
3rd. Steve Smith into the lead on lap 13,  With fast qualifier Robbie Ferrier having
some trouble and pulling the car in. Josh Coburn gets up to Smith but is having
trouble getting around. Coburn tries several times to clear Smith for the lead, but
Smith holds on as they race several laps side by side. STEVE SMITH WINS with JOSH
COBURN, TIM THURSTON,  JUSTIN HOLDEN  AND TODD TAYLOR (last feature winner) rounding
out the top 5 cars. In another close one the crowd was really into it now. Steve was
