The heats were next Pure Stock heat went to Tim Thurston,Pro Stocks had 2 heats, First one to Brandon Zachary and the last one to Josh Smith.NO HEATS FOR LATE MODELS.
The Feature races started with the Pure Stocks putting on a great show. The finish ended with side by side racing and the heat winner, winning the feature.Tim Thurston won with fast Josh Colburn a side him at the line.Followed by Todd Taylor(3rd) then Matt Sullivan(in his first showing of the year).Fifth was Tim Pletz.
Pro Stock Feature had Eric McGlothlen school everyone, He led most of the 75 lap race.He was challenged by Brandon Zachary for a few laps of side by side racing that got the fans to the edge of there seats but in the end it was Eric to winners circle, followed by Roger Northrup JR,Rich Merserau,Fred Reed, and in fifth was Brandon Zachary.
The duel to the big gun was next, 100 laps of fast late Models on slicks.Well it started with a bang big pile up on the back straight taking out some of the Non-regulars and some of the regulars on lap one.Well once everything was cleared up we went racing and seen Brett Jack to the early lead until lap # 47 when the leader was lapping another car and they touched causing the yellow to fly and the leader and lapped car to the rear . John Long to the point...Long never looked back after having surgery this last week and coming out to win .Well folks win he did .John Long took home the $2500.00 pay out.Jeff Holden raced a good race finished second, with Brent Jack getting up to third.Followed by Doug True and Brian Muick..
It was great to finally see some racing after several weeks of bad weather in this area.I hope that this weather stays nice the local track owners can use a few good weekends.
It was also nice to see several GREAT looking cars from out of town.I hope they find a way to return.Everyone have a great week and SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL TRACK AND RACERS.......SCOTT ROZNER
