2012 Mini Stock Rules

REFER TO RULE BOOK DISCLAIMER, GENERAL SAFETY, AND TRACK RULES

I. BODY AND FRAME
A.
Body must be subcompact, 4 cylinder model (NO Firebirds, Camaros, Fairmonts, ect.). Station
wagons and pickups are allowed. No convertibles or 4 wheel drives. No rear engine or mid-engine
models.
B.
V6 or 4 cylinder front wheel drives allowed. Must keep tire size same or smaller of original
manufactures specifications and meet our safety rules.
C.
All suspension must be kept stock. No modifications of any kind. Officials’ discretion is FINAL.
D.
Body must be sheet metal or aluminum and fully stock appearing. Roof, windshield post and cowl
must remain stock. Pickups must enclose bed. Stock appearing after-market noses are allowed.
E.
Doors must be welded or bolted shut.
F.
With the exception of windshield, all glass must be removed. NO rear windows allowed.
G.
Safety constructed 4 post cage with minimum of three bars on driver’s side and one bar on
passenger side.
H.
Full floorboards must remain intact. Must have firewall between driver and engine, and driver and
fuel tank.
I.
Fenders may be trimmed for tire clearance only.
J.
NO holes in hood for air cleaner.
K.
Hood and trunk must be pinned. NO bolting down.
L.
NO spoilers or front air dams.
M.
Stock type A-arms, struts, and ball joints ONLY.
N.
Cars must remain original track width as manufactured. Not to exceed 69” outside to outside.
O.
NO aftermarket brake pedal assemblies.
P.
Minimum weight of car with driver, AFTER RACE, is 2400 lbs. NO bolt in ballast weight.
Q.
Screw jacks allowed with 50 lbs penalty.
R.
NO coil-over type adjusters.
S.
Must have 4 wheel operating brakes. Must be factory stock brake system.

T.
NO quick change type or trick automatic transmissions or rear ends. No 4 wheel drives.
II. ENGINE
A.
Engine must be 4 cylinder, carburetor fed and remain in stock location
B.
Single carburetors only, not to exceed 2 barrels. Maximum 1” spacer, including gaskets. Holley
4412 carburetor will be allowed. NO reworking, grinding, or altering carburetor in any way.
C.
Carburetor may be impounded and or confiscated for a period of seven days for inspection
purposes.
D.
Heads and intakes must be of stock manufacturer’s original cast irons. NO aluminum or
aftermarkets allowed.
E.
Fuel injection allowed on front wheel drive cars ONLY.
F.
Exhaust must be single and completely sealed and must go past doors. Headers will be allowed.
G.
Ignition system must remain stock. NO aftermarket ignitions. Aftermarket cap and wires allowed.
Super coils will be allowed.
H.
NO racing clutches.
I.
A 2” hole must be cut in bell housing to check for stock clutches. Must be visible.
J.
Fuel cells are strongly recommended. Fuel tank must be safely secure with 4 steel straps. If
moving fuel tank into hatchback area or pickup, bed must have firewall between driver. Fuel cells
must be enclosed in steel can.
K.
Steel lines or braided hose must be used as fuel line from fuel tank to carburetor. NO fuel line in
cockpit area.
III. TIRES AND WHEELS
A.
Any 65, 70, 75, or 80 series D.O.T. radial tire, 195 or smaller.
B.
Maximum 6” wide steel safety wheels.
IV. MISCELLANEOUS
A.
Car and driver must meet ALL safety rules or will not race. Any deviations of these rules are left
to the discretion of the officials and their decision is FINAL.
