2012 Street Stock Rules
REFER TO RULE BOOK DISCLAIMER, GENERAL SAFETY, AND TRACK RULES
I. BODY AND FRAME
A.
NO station wagons, convertibles, or front wheel drives. Trucks will be allowed but beds must be
covered.
B.
Minimum roof height 47”.
C.
Floorboard must remain steel under driver.
D.
Any stock appearing aftermarket steel, aluminum, or fiberglass bodies. Rear windows may be
used if stock appearing and transparent. Reflection window vent may be used on driver’s side
ONLY.
E.
Full nose and rear bumper covers.
F.
A fuel cell is mandatory and cannot exceed 22 gallon capacity.
G.
Batteries securely fastened down and covered. NO rubber straps, NO plumbing straps.
H.
Hood and trunk must have hood type pin. Trunk lid must be operable. NO bolting down. NO hole
in hood for air cleaner.
I.
NO spoilers. Trunk lids cannot taper up past level.
J.
A full 5 point restraint system required and worn at all times during participation.
K.
On board fire extinguisher, 2 ½ lbs minimum must be properly secured in driver’s reach.
L.
Rear must be enclosed.
M.
Nerf bars cannot be larger than 1” diameter; Ends must be smoothly capped. Must have minimum
4 bolts on each side.
N.
Minimum wheel base 102”
O.
Maximum track width 78” outside to outside, measured at ground.
II. CHASSIS
A.
Safety constructed 4 post roll cage with minimum 3 bars on driver side door area.
B.
Frame must remain stock from front sub frame to rear springs. Unibodies may tie frame sections
together.

C.
Front & rear hoops may be added.
D.
Sway bars must remain in stock position.
E.
All stock mounts must be used for suspension, engine and running gear parts. NO additional
suspension/mount parts may be used OR must add weight.
F.
Jack bolts are allowed on all 4 corners.
G.
Tubular upper A frame is allowed but steel ONLY.
H.
Minimum weight of car with driver 3000 lbs. No left side. Weight must be securely mounted (min.
grade 5 or harder bolts or 1/2” grade A threaded rod). Paint white and have your car number on all
weight.
I.
Minimum frame height 4”.
J.
9” Ford rearends allowed, must add 100 lbs. Steel tubes only. Floater safety hubs are allowed. No
wide fives.
K.
Lower control arm stock and in stock position. NO tubular.
L.
Shocks must be economy-type permanently enclosed steel schocks and may not be externally
adjustable or racer rebuildable. Track may claim shock for $95.00.
M.
NO rack & pinion steering systems.
N.
Cast iron OEM appearing spindles are allowed.
O.
3 links or panhard bar set ups, must add 100 lbs. and 58% left side weight. Eligible to race at 3200
lbs.
P.
NO heims on 4 links.
Q.
NO coil over, NO coil over eliminators.
R.
Minimum 5” coils.
S.
NO adjustments of chassis from driver’s compartment.
T.
Aftermarket tubular front clips will be allowed with a minimum of 40 lbs to be added in front of
master cylinder on the clip. Must be easily removable to be checked. Officials discretion on the
position and the weight.
III. ENGINE
A.
Any American stock appearing engine may be used. Engine must be in original location. Intake
and exhaust manifolds must be in manufacturer’s original cast iron OR must add weight.
B.
One 2 barrel carburetor only. Holley brand carburetors will be allowed. All carburetors must have
the full choke butterfly intact and wired open. NO “made for racing” carburetors.
C.
Center dump exhaust is allowed. Exhaust must go back past door.
D.
Radiators must remain under hood. NO holes in hood for radiators.

E.
NO quick change type or trick automatic transmissions or rearends.
F.
Headers, aluminum intake, 4 barrel carburetor, any, or all, must add 100 lbs.
G.
NO electric fuel pumps.
H.
NO dry sumps.
I.
NO Bert, Brinn, or Falcon transmissions allowed.
IV. TIRE & WHEELS
A.
Hoosier 790’s or any D.O.T. 70 series, street legal 7” maximum tread width tires. Tires must be
obtained through local retail outlet. All tires must be approved by track officials. NO recaps; NO
racing tires. (see track rule #1)
B.
Maximum 8” wide steel safety wheel ONLY.
C.
Tires & wheels must remain inside body.
D.
NO altering the tires in any manner.
V. MISCELLANEOUS
A.
NO electric or mechanical traction control devices allowed.
B.
Must have four wheel operating brakes.
C.
Any interpretation or deviation of these rules is left to the discretion of the officials. Officials’
decision is FINAL.
