WOODS, LAUGHTER & TERRY TAKE MOTTVILLE FEATURES!
MOTTVILLE,MI., SATURDAY, OCTOBER 8-Steven Woods, Bobby Laughter and David Terry took feature wins on a beautiful Saturday at the Mottville Speedway!
For Woods it was his 4th Street Stock feature win of the season as he won the 15 lapper over season points leader Dave Logan.
Woods also won the pursuit and heat.
Jack Pontius was on hand with a beautiful SS but threw the drive shaft during hot laps and was done for the night.
Jack said he would have the car fixed and be back next week!
For Laughter it was his first feature win of the season and he moved into 2nd in the Mini Stock season point standings!
Kevin Grubb looked like he would win his 2nd feature in a row but on lap 12 of the 25 lapper he started overheating and dropped out after 13 laps.
Laughter took over and was never headed after that!
George Flowers raced for the first time this season and was 2nd with newcomer Larry Fullbright II 3rd.
Grubb won the pursuit and a heat while Laughter won a heat.
Grubb moved into 12th place in the season point standings.
David Terry won his 2nd Mini Thunder Car feature of the season with a 25 lap victory over Dave Logan.
Logan announced after the races that starting next Saturday, October 15, he will have 3 PURE STOCKS on hand at the Mottville Speedway so we run them each of the final 5 nights including the 26th Annual Indiana-Michigan Challenge Cup on October 22 and 23!
If Logan has 4 PURE STOCKS by the start of the 2012 season we will also run PURE STOCKS again in 2012!
Meanwhile the sponsorship pledges are up to $1000 for the Outlaw Late Model race on October 22!
Two people have also pledged $20 to lap leaders on lap 7 and lap 28!
Saturday gates open at 3 pm with racing at 4 pm.
With all the area tracks now closed for the season we should have great car counts for the final 5 nights of the 2011 season!
This coming week the track will be open for hot laps on both Wednesday and Thursday from 6pm to dark.
