2012 M 40  SPEEDWAY FRONT WHEEL DRIVE RULES

CAR ELIGIBILITY
*Front wheel drive, three or four cylinder, non-turbo charged passenger cars.
6 cylinder , front wheel drive cars must have automatic transmission. No AWD.
*General-Fenders may be trimmed (if not excessive) to remove rust out. You may add a steel protector plate to the driver’s door.
Stock appearing bumpers required.

*Bumpers may be welded in place. Bumper ends may
be capped and have supplemental attachments to the finders which prevents the hooking of bumpers.
*All exterior trim including lights, body moldings,
mirrors, etc. must be removed.

* All side and back glass must be removed. Windshield may be Lexan. A single plane rear spoiler with a maximum height of 5" allowed.

ROLL CAGES

*Cages or bars should be installed and constructed so the B hoop is higher than drivers and passenger's head. If cage or bar is mounted to the floor pan, a 12" x 12" steel plate should be used at hoop mounting points.
Door bars are Mandatory.

TIRES AND WHEELS

Stock type wheel, 165 thru 235 60/65/70 16" tire Safety wheels ok. Offset wheels allowed

BATTERIES: Must be securely tied down.
ENGINE: Complete stock motor no modifications!!! OPTIONAL: Removal of excess wiring, sensors, etc.
TRANSMISSION & REAR AXLE: Stock, unmodified transmission and transaxle, as manufactured and delivered, with working forward and reverse gears.
BRAKES:Stock. 
COOLING SYSTEMS: Any stock radiator allowed which will fit in stock brackets. 180-degree fan shroud required. 1 gal. Overflow can required. .
FUEL TANKS: Cars without the fuel pump mounted in the tank must use a cell or marine type tank mounted in the trunk.
FUEL: Pump Gas only, 97 octane or less. Race gas not permitted.
