M 40 Speedway 2012 Outlaw Super Late Model Rules

 

* M 40 Speedway will have the option at any time to “Confiscate & Switch Out” your MSD Box with a new one.

* Tires TBA.


 

2012 Body Rules


* Nose Piece – Aftermarket “molded” nose piece to be mounted in a conventional manor. The front overhang may extend a maximum of 45” from the center hub to the tip of the nose, including the lip or splitter. Maximum width of lip/splitter is 4”. Nose piece flare (side wing) must not extend higher than the top of the fender. Both front corners of the nosepiece/lip must have a radius to prevent sharp corners.

* All cars can have a maximum 10” shelf/ledge on the right side of the body from the front of windshield post back to the front of the C-pillar. C-pillar to be flat-no concave-contoured-dished or recessed. Maximum body width is 82” from the front tires back to the center of the back tires. Body must then taper to a maximum width at the rear of the quarter panels of 72”. Left side ledge to be no more than 5”. Body panels are to appear symmetrical from side to side with the sides of the body being mounted in a vertical fashion. Spoiler to be clear material and will measure 8” x 72” - 42” from the top of the spoiler to the ground. Spoiler can’t
extend past the edge of the quarter panel & must not extend side to side past the outer edge of either rear tire. Spoiler braces to be ¾” round tubing – spoiler may have a 1” lip.

* All cars that run with a 4” shelf/ledge will be allowed a 9” x 72” rear spoiler measured 43” from the top of the spoiler to the ground. 4” ledge cars will adhere to the 9” x 52” rear C pillar measurement. 4” ledge cars will have the body width over the center of the rear tires to be 76” wide.

* Any car running 78” wide at the rear of the quarter panel will have a 8” x 72” spoiler, mounted to the far left side of the body with a 42” maximum height off the ground.

* Rear overhang to be 46” from the center line of the rear axle.

* Height of roof measured 10” back from the front edge of the windshield is 45” minimum, with no more than a 2” drop. The 2” roof drop will be measured to actual roof panel and not to any material added to the roof! Minimum roof dimension is 45” wide by 38” long. . 28" maximum deck length measured from bend in base of rear window to base of spoiler. Top front edge of the windshield to the base of the spoiler will be a 102” maximum.

* Full front windshield and a full stock appearing rear window mandatory. All windshields and rear windows will be flat or convex. There will be no V-shaped rear windows. Minimum side window opening on both sides will be 12” tall and 22” wide. This is a safety issue, there will be no moveable panels or certain ways to measure this and we need a minimum of 12” x 22” opening.

* No Verticals of any kind. 1” maximum lip along the bottom of the door/quarter panel/skirt

* No Fender flair can extend out past the outer face of rear tires – can’t extend beyond the rear of the Tire

* No aluminum or composite (Steel Only) bumpers, door bar assemblies or jacking posts. All rear bumpers and or rub rails must be capped. Rear bumper to be 12” off the ground.

* Fuel Cells will have an approved guard at the rear of the cell with two forward braces and the minimum height to the lowest point of the cell. All cells will have be mounted a minimum of 8” off the ground or be up inside of the rear frame rails. Fuel Cell will be mounted between the two frame rails and to the rear of the rear end.

**Minimum weight to be checked before qualifying and before the start of the feature. Weight will be as follows:

* 2700lbs

* Cast iron engine blocks only, one carburetor, no electric fuel pumps, and no V-6’s.
* Engine set back maximum 4”.
* Radiator overflow catch can is mandatory.
* All mainframe rails of the center section of the car will have a 10” minimum circumference frame rails. 2” x 2” tubing is allowed from the A-frame forward and from the rear end rearward. Professionally
designed and constructed drivers roll cage and door bars required. Driver’s side door plate required,
suggested covering the complete door bar area as well as the foot box area, for added protection. All
main cage tubing will be a minimum of .090 x 1 ½”.
* Maximum of 10” steel racing wheels. Track width will be checked outside to outside of the tire on the
bottom – 82” maximum with toe boards.
* No titanium, carbon fiber or composite body panels, rotors or drive shafts. (CF Roofs allowed).
