Michiana Speed Zone 2012 plans.
CEO Scott Feaster
After careful thought and a lot of sleepless nights, Scott Feaster CEO of
Michiana Speed Zone, in conjunction with Tony Eldridge GM of MSZ have
decided to take the show into Michigan for the 2012 season. Scott Feaster
first off would like to sincerely thank Donny Klotz and Dustin Klotz of the
New Paris Speedway, "We had a great year and a lot of fun at New Paris
Speedway and look forward to doing more with New Paris in the future". "I
have the greatest respect for New Paris Speedway and Donny Klotz, without
Donny Klotz the 2011 season would not have turned out as good as it did."
Stated Scott. Rest assured fans as long as Donny Klotz is at New Paris
Speedway there will be a chance, a good one, that Michiana Speed Zone will be
back at some point to the famous 1/4 Mile Bull Ring." Donny and his entire
speedway staff made the MSZ crew feel at home and we are leaving the
cable at the track and mounts for the cameras" States Tony. Good Luck to
Donny, Dustin and the entire New Paris Speedway crew in the upcoming 2012
season!
We are now excited to announce MSZ will be at the M40 Speedway for the 2012
season! Scott Feaster will be Promoting the Speedway and Tony Eldridge will take
over as the race director. The Koscher Family will be promoting the speedway as well
and working hand in hand with Scott and Tony to make 2012 the best year M 40 Speedway
has ever seen. In fact a lot of new faces will greet you at the Speedway in 2012 as well
as some old familiar faces your use to. The rules package will take a huge twist
this year as well as we will go back to 4 classes of cars. We will have the Michiana
Speed Zone / M 40 Speedway Late Model TV Championship. This will be filmed weekly and
brought to the big screen each Sunday on SBT 2 at 5 pm. Fans will be able to see not
only the race but drivers interviews before during and after each race night as well as
all the action from the pits. Fans will want to be on hand weekly as we will also make
sure to do random fan interviews and fan interaction on TV each week. Family and friends
will be invited to make signs to hold up on TV and bring a family feeling to the Michiana
Speed Zone TV show. We will also change the sportsman and street stock into ABC Rules, Mini
Stocks will be welcomed back in 2012 as well as front wheel drives. All drivers will have a
chance to be on TV as we pick random racers each week to ad to the late model show. This will be
great to help M 40 drivers obtain sponsors for the year as they can now offer each sponsor TV time
when they are interviewed.
Late Model rules will be very close to all other track in the area and very close to the Kalamazoo
Speedway rules. ABC Rules will follow along with Spartan and Springport with a few changes to help keep
M 40 regulars on a level playing field with out side invaders. Mini Stocks will use New Paris Rules with
some updates to allow South Bend and Kzoo cars to race with us. Front Wheel Drives will use a simple rules
package to allow all cars to be able to win races.
The schedule will be somewhat different than past years as we will focus on Friday Night Racing and
The Big Gun Shoot Out . We will take out most of the special events and try to have more special events
or big races for our Friday Night drivers who make the speedway what it is.
The Late Model teams will again chase a healthy points fund in the TV Championship. Corey Pressler
has stated he plans to defend his title as the first TV Champion and go for the points money again in
2012.
As you can tell race fans things are certainly looking up for Michiana short tracks and the M 40
Speedway. We will have rules, schedules and race day info posted in the next day or two and would encourage
you to email tony@michianaspeedzone.com with any questions.
Tony and Scott look forward to working with Kevin and Tonia as well as Kenny and Jackie to make sure
"YOUR HOME FOR FRIDAY NIGHT RACING IS THE M 40 SPEEDWAY" !
