Midweek FAST Action Update: FAST 305 Series Prepares for Limaland Visit on July 15,
Paul Weaver Earns $1,000 Prize at Waynesfield during Summer Sprint Sizzler

FREMONT, Ohio (July 7, 2016) - Joining series rival Bobby Clark, Paul Weaver is the newest member of the multi-win club with the JLH General Contractors FAST 305 Series presented by Engine Pro, earning victory number two of 2016 during the Summer Sprint Sizzler at Waynesfield Raceway Park on Sunday, July 3. Weaver earned $1,000 for his efforts at the Waynesfield, Ohio, highbanks, outperforming 29 other FAST 305 Series entries, eventually ruling the 20-lap main event from row three. Nate Dussel charged from eighth on the grid to finish behind Weaver, followed by Kyle Capodice, Alvin Roepke, and Luke Griffith.

With the victory, Paul Weaver is now the official FAST 305 Series championship point leader, holding a 41 point advantage over former series champion Nate Dussel. The 2016 championship is worth over $2,000.

“We had an amazing turnout at Waynesfield during the weekend with most of our full-time series drivers making the trip,” Rich Farmer said, FAST Series promoter. “I want to thank the entire staff at Waynesfield Raceway Park for bringing FAST back to their facility. It was a great show and an amazing amount of support. We are already planning to do it again in 2017. Congratulations to Paul Weaver. I also want to send out my best wishes to Bobby Clark who broke his ankle recently. Hopefully he recovers soon and can get back in a race car.”

With one travel date already in the books, the JLH General Contractors FAST 305 Series presented by Engine Pro will now prepare for their second of four travel dates, this time setting the compass toward Limaland Motorsports Park in Lima, Ohio. Northwest Ohio’s finest 305 sprint car competitors will take part in the K&L Ready Mix Open Wheel Clash on Friday night, July 15, the first and only Limaland appearance for the FAST Series in 2016. FAST 305 Series competition will return to routine destinations, Attica Raceway Park and Fremont Speedway, on Friday and Saturday, July 29-30.

The Kistler Racing Products FAST 410 Series presented by K S Sales & Service will continue to stand idle until Friday and Saturday, July 22-23, when competition resumes at Attica Raceway Park and Fremont Speedway. Defending series champion Byron Reed is the current point leader. Reed, a three-time FAST main event winner thus far in 2016, stands ahead of Craig Mintz and Chris Andrews in the current championship hunt, each chasing the $10,000 grand prize at the end of the season.
