Saturday night, some of the best weather of the season so far made for a very pleasant evening at Crystal Motor Speedway. Besides the usual night of racing, the Great Lakes Super Sprints were on hand, all sponsored by CMS Internet of Crystal. Official results weren't available at press time, but Mike Burkin scored the win.

The other big race was the annual event known as the "Twin Flinn" race, where two different races are run on the same track, going in opposite directions. A chalk line is laid down the middle of the track, and one race runs on the bottom side, and one race is run on the top side. Drivers aren't supposed to cross over the line, but just as in Life, things tend to happen. Nigel Fox and Chris Ryan were the winners of the twin events and the race was extremely well received by the crowd.

Megan Carpenter of Laingsburg grabbed the lead and the win in the Kentucky Fried Chicken Late Model event. Brennan Bowen of Sheridan moved from his eleventh place starting pint to claim second, followed by Scott Baker, Ionia, Josh Knoll, Lake, David Hilliker, Midland, Amanda Wing,   Middleton, Brad Buskirk, Alma,  Chris Rinard, Ithaca,  Daniel Sharpe, Sheridan, and Scot Church of Ithaca. Myron DeYoung, Fred Enos, and Allen took heat wins.

Gabe Geselman, Muir, was next, followed by Jasen Wiley, Fenwick, Tony Vinton, Lake, Brandon Cunningham, Sheridan, Ryan Alexander, Stanton, George Wease, Hubbardston, Mike Kresnak, Elwell, Dennis Parker Jr., Crystal, and Dustin Weber of Farwell. Victorya Truemner, Imlay City, advanced by winning the B Main with heats falling to Cunningham, Alexander, and Weber.

He was followed by Curtis Rice, Muskegon, Paul Grosnickle, Lansing, Rob Putt, Fenwick, Jim Beltz, Kent City, Mickey Currier,  Sidney, Kenny Dittenber, Carson City, Darin Lund, Sheridan, and Scott Harris of  Lakeview.
