Rowdy 251 $15,000 to win at Berlin Raceway June 21st

THIRD ANNUAL ROWDY 251, STARRING KYLE BUSCH, TO TAKE PLACE AT BERLIN RACEWAY ON JUNE 21

The Third Annual Rowdy 251 is set to invade Berlin Raceway on June 21 and is shaping up to be the largest event of Berlin’s history.

NASCAR star Kyle Busch will be back to defend his win from last year in the race named for him on the special Tuesday night show. Brian Ickler, co-driver of Kyle Busch’s #18 Nascar Camping World truck, will also be taking part in the big event. Busch will be joined by up and coming stars Chase Elliott, son of Bill Elliott, Ross Kenseth, son of Matt Kenseth, and Ryan Blaney, son of Dave Blaney; veterans of the series like Johnny Benson Jr., Brian Campbell and John VanDoorn along with many local entries.

To date, there are 34 drivers entered in to this prestigious race, all looking to beat the NASCAR legend. Last year, it was Chase Elliott who gave Busch a run for his money; the pair battled back and forth throughout the race before Busch took the lead on a restart after a caution, securing the win for himself. The inaugural race in 2009 saw Brian Campbell make a late-race charge to the lead and claiming victory, Busch had finished in the fifth position.

The addition of the USA Modifieds to the program has also been gaining attention since it was announced that it would pay $300 to start and $3,000 to win. The 50 lap race is sure to have some of the best local talent beating and banging on each other.
