HARVEST 300 PLUS AND FRIDAY FUN NIGHT

It’s a doubleheader of racing action this weekend at Spartan Speedway in Mason, Michigan .
 
On Friday it will be “Fun Night” with a $ 6 general admission. Flag Pole, Skid Plate, Push/Pull, and Chain Races will highlight the action along with the MCR Dwarf Cars and Boss Snow Equipment Pony Stocks Gates open at 5 pm and racing begins at 7:30 pm.
 
On Sunday, Spartan will host the “Harvest 300 Plus” Presented by Lipari Foods with 400 laps of feature racing. Super late models will be going 100 laps around the ¼ mile paved oval with the winner receiving $2000. Past Harvest champions include Phil Massuch (2010 and 2002), Jack Landis (2008 and 2009), Harry Foote Jr., Dave Stehower, Andy Bozell, Doug Finley, the late Charlie Ryan Jr., and Dave Sensiba.  The “Brian Heeney Memorial Wild Child 100” for modifieds, rained out on August 8,has been added and will pay $1500 to win. All the top modified drivers in the Midwest are expected to be on hand. The Spartan Wingless Sprints, another addition to this year’s Harvest race, will run a 50 lap feature with $1000 to the winner. Round three of the Midwest Racing Scene “Slugfest” for Spartan Stocks and Pony Stocks will be in action and the Pony Stocks will also be battling on the Figure 8. Gates open at 3:30 pm with racing at 6 pm.
